How about Folic acid. i read prostate's have receptors that can help trigger cancer when induced by folic acid
I have taken 5 mg per day folic acid for the last 11 years to help reduce methotrexate side effects for my Rheumatoid arthritis and now have prostate cancer. It may be a coincidence, but I thought I would ask if others had heard about this.

Alcohol’s SURPRISING Role in Your Health, Longevity and PD

A weird dynamic.
When I make a positive change in my supplementation or activity there is a three day +- uptick as my body is getting more of what it needs. This is followed by a downturn of 5 +- days which I assume is my body healing which is hard on my body and I need a lot of rest. This dynamic was not apparent until

Vitamin and antibody blood test
I got my results back from my test I did on Monday. I’ve attached screen shots below. My ferritin has improved and my antibodies have always been 80 but they seem to have halved ! My vitamin d has also improved. Please can you have a look and see what you think ? And what are thyroglobulin antibodies

Hi all I’ve addressed a thyroid issue - Hashimotos, with the help from the thyroid site. I’m still experiencing fatigue. I am in meno/post menopausal stage. Symptoms do over lap, but have suspected B12 issue for some time. Tend to get low active B12 results. Lots of B12 symptoms. Dr not interested,

I’ve been hypothyroid for almost 20 years. Only treated / offered levothyroxine. Risk of reversing out for A'levels
Hi everyone. I'm in a conundrum. My youngest daughter, 17, has low B12 (181ng/L, so not low enough for our GP to take any notice), inherited from me (141ng/L and now self-injecting) and her grandmother (hospitalised on intravenous B12 for several months in the '50s). She has quite low folate at 5.5.

Still low on vitamin D
I’ve been taking Better you vitamin d for three months and my levels haven’t improved at all. I was surprised that it was so low in the first place, as I spent a month in Australia in September and would have thought I’d got enough exposure to the sun. I would be grateful for any thoughts and advice

It’s ok to be deficient if you inflicted it upon yourself..
Has anyone sought an explanation from their gp as to why if you have caused b12 deficiency by the deliberate use of nitrous oxide that the NHS sanctions the use of b12 injections. Self administered. Daily!! Even providing an instruction video to show how easy and convenient it is to do. I can only

Early morning blood tests
I see on other posts that an early morning blood test before 09:00hrs is suggested for an accurate reading. I went to have bloods taken yesterday morning at 08:55hrs for ferritin. My phlebotomist found that my blood flow was a bit on the slow side... but ok for the lab test. She thought she might have

Methyl or Hydro B12 injections - is it safe to switch between both each month?
Is it safe to switch between different types of B12 injections? For example, one month I take the hydroxocobalamin injection and the next month i take the methylcobalamin injection? I feel better with methylcobalamin , but I’m only prescribed the hydroxocobalamin but I’m thinking to take methylcobalamin

How should Levo dosing work - a 101 explanation needed please
sorry my brain is mush. I have read a lot of posts, tried Dr Google etc. I could do with a really basic explanation to help understand what my Endo is likely to talk about this week re: Levo dosing. what I think I know… Levo replaces what’s missing, T4. Help please in results interpretation of advanced function thyroid test
I’ve just received results of private test because surgery has reduced levothyroxine from 75mcg to 50mcg. Please see below. I would welcome some advice before I approach anyone. Jan 30 TSH 0.23 (0.27-4.2) T4 17.7 (10.5-24.5) At this point doctor wanted me to reduce to 50mcg but I confessed that
