Morning Live this morning
Have just seen Morning Live this morning. They discussed Nitrous Oxide effects and banning with Dr Xand - and he talked about it's effects on B12 ! This may be useful to those with B12 deficiency who are told that their nerve damage is "something else" or that they do not have nerve damage at all.

Jaw clenching + Levothyroxine
Hi all, Apologies for the long post. I'd like some advice please regarding jaw clenching when on Levothyroxine. Does anyone else have this issue? I am currently on 87.5mic Teva levothyroxine. I have asked my pharmacy for a different brand to see if it helps, but they tell me that they can only get

Advice on latest blood tests
Hi all, Hoping to get some advice on bloods following my latest tests. Just wondered if it's worth increasing the T4 as it's a bit lower since putting on a little bit of weight. I'm happy with my Vit D, B12, Folate and Iron and hence have not included those results. Thanks in advance

Advice after recent blood test results please
I have been taking Levothyroxine for decades but only recently appreciated, after advice from this fabulous website, the correct way to undertake thyroid blood tests. After decades of iron deficiency I had an iron infusion a few months ago (therefore ferritin now high), I inject B12 regularly for Pernicious

Folic Acid does not cause PA
If a patient is not treated with

and is treated with
folic
acid
, penicillin or other drugs that are not

Do the NHS test for active b12 aswell a total b12?
I wonder because my sister was diagnosed with pernicious anemia years ago but now they say her b12 levels are really high normal.

Help with latest bloods please!
hi everyone I’m on 50mcg of Levothyroxine for Hashimotos and my original test results are in my profile. I’ve just had some bloods done with the GP and they’ve said no further action is required. I’m conscious that there is a difference between being within range and optimal, so I thought I’d come on

Morning all, I posted some results a while ago and followed the very wise advice I was given but as I still felt rubbish I got into my GP who was very helpful and ordered lots of tests for me. When I posted towards the end of last year I was struggling and my B12 was low, ferritin dire at 16 and some

Great doctor!
I want to share my experience with my lovely new doctor! I thought from my conversation that he had PA like me. It turns out itis a very rare condition that took years of frustration like us to be diagnosed and has left him with intense chronic pain and debilitating exhaustion He can only work 3days

Skin issues and b12
Hi guys! I am wondering if anyone here has experienced a continuous thickening of skin over their face. It started like dermatitis and was very itchy Now I am finding that the itch has gone but the skin over a couple of days after exfoliating starts to become like a dry mask and the only thing that softens

Starting B12 injections
Hi I am hypothyroid, on Armour Thyroid but still dog tired all the time. I’m on HRT and I have horrible peripheral neuropathy in my feet and lower legs. I can’t walk well or for long at all. My gait feels really off. I’m stiff and have no muscular strength in my legs anymore so crouching down is impossible

Supplements before Diagnostic Blood Tests - Newbie Question
Hello I’ve had unexplained fatigue and neurological symptoms for 10+ years. I recently found out about PA. The symptoms fit my profile and when I mentioned PA to my mum she remembered that two of my great aunts had it. I have Hashimoto’s and psoriasis. So it looks like PA is worth investigating. I
