Low B12 but Negative Parietal Cell Autoantibodies
Hi! I had some blood tests done last week (a brief history - I haven’t been 100% since I had Covid 14 months ago and been suffering with extreme tiredness and fatigue.. I was found to have iron deficiency anaemia and was successfully treated last year), it has shown I have low B12 (173 - range 197-771

Hi can anyone tell me what this means. My THS came back as 14.80 but my free TT4 Is saying normal range 17.3. My B12 is fine 409 and so is my cholesterol. If my T4 is fine do I need to put my dose up? I am just starting to feel a bit better. They haven'haven'done my T3 yet

sourcing b12
I’ve been unable to get hold of my usual panpharma b12 for SI. What alternative do you use? Hoping to stay injecting hydroxocobalamin as my body hates change. Thanks, Cx

Informing GP of sourcing own supplies
Hi, as some of you are aware I am in the process of writing to my GP and my MP. My GP does not know that I source my own supplies of B12. I was going to put this in my letter so that she, and my MP, can see the lengths people have to go to have any hope of recover. As B12 is not available over the counter

Thyroid results-Hashimotos?
Hello, Looking for some help in interpreting thyroid results. I've been testing privately over the last two years. Does this show Hashimotos and would it be enough for a GP to take seriously? Since having my son three years ago I've had many unexplained symptoms - weight gain, swollen legs, fatigue,

Newbie to this community and wondering about B12 deficiency
Hello, for the past 4 years I've had symptoms of CFS, plus low FT4 and on occasions, low TSH. I've also had my cortisol tested by saliva and short synacthen test, both showed low levels but the adrenals work when stimulated so it's not Addisons. I've tried levothyroxine, T3 and thyroid glandulars and

GP requests blood tests after injections
My daughter has asked her GP for B12 injections (I won't always be around to do them) she has been called in for a blood test, however stating NICE guidelines didn't help. She has previously been misdiagnosed with MS and even her neurologist wrote in a letter last summer that nothing abnormal was found

Tips on Disc Surgery Recuperation?
I had C4/5 disc replacement surgery 6 months ago, after suffering severe myelopathy for 3 years. Recovery has been brutal and I’m experiencing neurological symptom I never had before the surgery. I have the antibody type PA and I’m wondering if anyone else has had experience self-injecting B12 in a

not PA, next steps
Hi all. I am now SI EOD and have had my iron infusion which is great. I’ve had my autoimmune blood tests back which show I don’t have an autoimmune disease or Pernicious Anaemia (results attached). I’ve been advised that means I have a gut issue which is blocking absorption, I’m keen to get this looked

Out of interest......what were you initially (mis)diagnosed with?
I'm just wondering what people were initially misdiagnosed with? When I was at my most unwell my GP at the time wanted to diagnose me with Fibromyalgia. I was adamant it wasn't that, and would not accept that diagnosis. Another GP at the surgery was talking about going down the MS route. That was until

B12 ampules
I have noticed that my B12 ampules are a few months out of date, will they still be effective? I had a fall and brain injury in December and wonder if the extra fatigue is due to the injury. Thank you
