Zypan?

Hi everyone. Just wondering if anybody here is taking Zypan or have taken it before? Just watched a really helpful video from Dr Berg on YouTube on PA where he mentions this helps to absorb B12 if there is a lack of intrinsic factor

Having looked up the ingredients in Zypan , I cannot imagine that it would help in the absorption of vitamin B12 , but it could help in the absorption of other vitamins and minerals in P.A. patients . P.A. patients have low / no stomach acid ( Hypochlorhydria/ Achlorhydria ) which hinders the absorption of vitamins and minerals. The acid and pepsin in this preparation would be helpful for other vitamins and minerals .

But it would not help in absorption of B12 .

He is not an actual doctor but a scientologist chiropractor. . . . . . . Google" Dr Berg Scam" and you'll learn more .. . . . . There are so many of these dudes making money by being convincing. . . . . . .

Berg is a scammer that just copies others content. Not saying any of his content is incorrect, he's copying it from real doctors, but he misleads people by misrepresenting his credentials and experience. He is able to read and repeat stuff but has as much understanding of the info as anyone here on this forum (maybe less)

Anyone who has a Trade Mark of The Knowledge Doctor gives me a really good hearty belly laugh. He pushes the Ketogenic diet and intermittent fasting. He is not a qualified Dietician who would know that those with kidney disease need a particular diet. Those with pancreatic exocrine insufficiency struggle to break down fat so the Ketogenic diet is a big NO. 🙀🙀. He is just another person who just loves being the Centre of Attention and making money. (Yawn).

People have to be really careful with information on-line. Is the source credible ? Please note that Belle Gibson from Australia, misled a huge amount of people on-line regarding Health and her Nutritional Claims. She had her own App launched. She was a fraudster. Fraud is becoming more sophisticated. In the U.K. today, the Government have published, Stop! Think Fraud.

On a lighter note, the ingredients of Betaine HCL and pepsin help those with low stomach or no stomach acid as wedgewood has said.

And after the last few years, people still trust the UK Government when it comes to what is truth or fraud?

No disrespect to you or anyone else who had advised against Dr Berg’s advice or his credentials, but I am an intelligent person and thankfully do not believe everything I hear. I merely asked if anybody had used Zypan

I know MLJ2024.

I apologise, you merely asked a question which only 2 of us commented on the actual reliability and efficiency of the tablets.

I just want people to be safe on-line. Questioning is the information from a credible source. 🤓

Dr Berg maintained that Zypan contained the Intrinsic factor , which it does not . And even if it did ( it can be obtained from pigs) it would not make a scrap of difference . Zypan will not help to absorb B12 in Pernicious Anaemia patients .It will help to absorb other vitamins and minerals in P.A, patients , because they have low / no stomach acid .and the Betaine HCL is good for that .

Injections of B12 are the main answer for P.A. patients , and Methylcobalamin is not the only possible solution .

He failed to mention a few other reasons for B12 deficiency . Could have been more thorough with that information.

Thanks, Wedgewood. That’s really all I wanted to know: “has anybody taken Zypan?” I needed to know if it helped, why it would or would not help, etc.

No one is saying anyone is anything apart from Dr Berg. . . . . . He is a confidence trickster and has been debunked and removed from sites including youtube which he keeps reappearing on with a slightly different name. . . . . He is not a Medical Doctor of any description. . . . . . . A Chiropractor is not a Doctor is the sense we need him to be. . . . If ye want i will go take a photo of the bottles in my cupboard inc betaine hcl which is expensive and of no benefit to me at all . . . . . I know he says some things that are fact .. . . . Methylcobalamin not being one of them of course. . . . . . . That is how they work . . . . . . Enough facts that most of us already are aware of draw us in. .. . . . He is a sales man. . . . . . He makes money off his video;s along with many others who are also confidence tricksters . . . . . . That is what they do just like going to watch a magician who we all know is not doing what they appear to be . . . . Professional tricksters . . . . .. And the last bit of advice . . . . . If ye watch especially US based Video's and they are selling a book. . . . . . Press the stop button. . . . . . If these dudes were based in the UK Ireland they'd be removed. . . . . .

Thank you. Like I have said, I am not here to discuss the credentials or truth of what this man claims. I came here to ask if anybody has used Zypan, real people with PA. I am an experienced navigator and sifter of info in a very confusing, sometimes dangerous online world. I do not believe everything we have thrown at us. Doing my own research has become necessity. If the man from my local chip shop had PA and had advice on the subject, I’d listen to him also, He likely understands the condition better than most GPs

Sorry for hitting on Dr Berg but so many are taken in by him and his. . . . . . So I cannot but help to spell things out before anyone else goes and watches more of his endless claims. . . . . I always point to the fact that he has been debunked on many occasions. . . . .

Yes, I tried Zypan. I honestly did not give a full go. It wasn't helping much so I switched to a probiotic. I think I'll give it another chance since I still have the bottle. Its a little pricey for me so I probably wont buy another bottle. It was more for my re-flux than my PA but thought it might help that too. I bought the Standard Process brand of Zypan from Amazon.com.

Hi Motheroflittle 😊Thank you for your comment. I may give it a go when I can afford it 😊 Trying things out can be quite expensive, especially if they don’t really help. I too have bad reflux problems, which I am convinced got me in the mess I’m in today. I am having quite a bit of kefir and some ACV before some meals and it really has helped me with the reflux. Thanks again 🙏

I need to give fermented foods a try. I am happy to hear they have helped you. I make kombucha for my husband, I know I should drink it too. I dont care for the taste of it or ACV. Do you mix the ACV with anything? I took the Zypan with my lunch meal today.

MLJ2024 profile image
MLJ2024 in reply to Motheroflittle

I just mix around a tbsp with water and, I agree, it’s certainly not my favourite taste 😂 Sometimes, I’ll just drizzle salads with it and olive oil with lots of seasoning. That way I mask the taste a bit. I read that not only does it help with reflux but helps to absorb nutrients, so I’ve just continued with it. Strange you should mention fermented foods. I was telling my daughter just recently about a video I’d watched on making sauerkraut. I didn’t know how easy and cheap it is to make! Next on my list!😊 Please keep in touch about the Zypan 🙏😊

I may try my hand at sauerkraut. I have never made it but I do like it. I like kimche but its too spicy with the reflux. I have a half bottle of Zypan left. I'll let you know how it goes.

I take apple cider vinegar with a spoonful of water and drink it as a shot , in the hope also to minimize contact with my teeth. If it has helped a bit maybe take it more often. It can be taken several times a day.
