Eye problems
So this must be about my third post in as many days… 🙄 Anyone else suffer from blurry eyes? And sore eyes?? For a while now I’ve had issues getting my eyes to focus when moving from close up (esp my phone) to further away. I know this isn’t unusual and as I’m mid 40s it’s probably expected if not overdue

FEAR OF DIAGNOSIS
Tomorrow is my OCT RNFL test scheduled due to Steroid induced OHT diagnosis which causes my IOP rises to 24.....And till than I am using timolol once a day so that The IOP will remain below 20....Few days back all routine eye tests and OPtic nerve is fine....But this RNFL test is creating havoc inside

Open Angle
Hi everyone just always melting down Listen to the zoom from glaucoma uk and that even says 10% of people go blind. I’m so down I don’t want a future. I worry for my sons. How many of you on here have open angle and had it for lots of years and still drive. I know I’ve asked this before but I’m so so

Alcohol on same day as Pegasys shot, yay or nay?
Has anyone consumed alcohol prior to taking pegasys, on the same day? I’m normally well behaved but on holiday tonight and the cocktail menu looks hard to resist 😂 Can’t delay peg injection for logistical reasons.

When to take Questran or Colestid powder
I am taking one sachet of Questran or Colestid powder (containing colestyramine or colestipol hydrochloride respectively) per day to control suspected bile acid malabsorption (I have a cooperative doctor - but I haven't been tested for BAM) and therefore IBS D - and with some success. My question is,

Measuring fasting blood glucose on waking in the morning
I want to measure my fasting blood glucose and figured that taking a reading after getting (but before food or medication) is a good time. However I have read that various overnight effects can cause a "dawn phenomenon" in which blood glucose is artificially raised. How long should I wait after waking

Marginal keratitis
Hello I have had marginal keratitis 4 times since November 2020, each time I have gone to Moorfields A&E, they have been great, prescribed antibiotic & steroid drops which cleared it up. I’ve been referred to the corneal clinic, waiting for an appointment. Have any of you lovely people with SLE had

Sticky dry eyes and itchy skin- is this hypo or hyper?
Hello helpful people It’s been a little while since I posted a question. I had been over replacing with metavive earlier in the year and came off it rather suddenly which was not a good idea. I was very tired, gained a few pounds, slept poorly , even more hair loss, lack of motivation & 2 viral infections

Sodium Butyrate: Conflicting Studies
So I read one study from 2021 that said Sodium Butyrate was good for PD, lowered inflammation, and improved symptoms and then read another from 2020 that said Sodium Butyrate increases inflammation and makes PD symptoms worse. I have e-mailed both teams for an explanation. I put the abstracts side by

Crawling down the rabbit hole...
Thanks for the suggestions. I can't seem to get past 40 years of PTSD, regardless of my efforts or expense. I really need a new shrink but can't afford any, Including the web based. Been unemployed since covid started. Can't find a job or build my business back up. I don't have a clue for current marketing

I hear the voices of the people who are against me. I have past closed head injury, severe, ptsd, mental illness. I am stabalized on meds now, no urge to hurt anyone, even me, at any time, seizures are controlled. I dont know why I hear them, and what if anything I should do about it, its just uncomfortable

Another Prednisone Question…sorry
Diagnosed about a week ago. PA placed me on 40mg pred to decrease to 35 or 30 at my discretion in 4 weeks. Meantime I will make appt with rheumy. This seems high, but because I’ve had some blurred vision and left forehead headaches I am taking it. No huge side effects yet, but just wondering if I should

Dysphotopsia Or Posh Bubbles!
Well guys I’m so relieved I do not have a detached retina, back of eyes all good however I have Dysphotopsia! Should clear within six months, caused by refraction of light from edge of new lens, as result of cataract op. Can’t tell how relieved I am, I knew there was something not quite right! Now I

Advice needed
Hi everybody I'm needing a bit of advice if possible. I've been on cosopt for a long time. My pressures in June were 26 and 23 so consultant added monoprost. I've been on this about 7 weeks. I feel like I've got a continuous hangover and dizzy all the time. My dilemma is I'm going on holiday soon and

Seeing bubbles!
Hi everyone as you know I have recently had a cataract operation. My floaters have settled down however I am now experiencing a large bubble which appears to rise up from the bottom of my eye and is luminous. It’s definitely not a flash and I only get one to four per day, however quite worrying. I’ve
