Dysphotopsia Or Posh Bubbles!

Well guys I’m so relieved I do not have a detached retina, back of eyes all good however I have Dysphotopsia! Should clear within six months, caused by refraction of light from edge of new lens, as result of cataract op. Can’t tell how relieved I am, I knew there was something not quite right! Now I can sit back and really enjoy the light show and no alcohol or drugs involved at all. Sat on bus on a very bright sunny day, just a shame I’ve had drops in to dilate pupils even with sunglasses on I want to hide under the seats 🤣thank you all for your support it’s so appreciated I was feeling sick with worry this morning and so it was lovely to read your messages xx

Good news. So glad to hear that all is well with your eye. Interesting to her what the eye clinic told you. Dysphotopsia could be what I have also. I don't have bubbles but at night time under artificial light can see a circle of light around the eye and I was told at the eye clinic last week that the lens had n't settled in properly yet and could take up to 6 months. x

That’s great news, so happy for you. I have never heard of dysphotopsia, but knowing what is causing the bubbles must be a relief to say the least 😊xP
