Just diagnosed, need recommendations
Hi all! I just learned this morning that I have BC. Biopsy diagnosis DCIS in situ. Now I must find a breast oncology surgery practice. I live in Central Florida (Orlando) and am hoping I can get some recommendations of where to consider going for treatment. Thank you!

If the metastasis is not severe (ie widespread) why not surgery first?
Hi All, I was just wondering why surgery is not more a conventional method in stage 4 metastatic breast cancer? If one has a breast tumor, and only a few areas of metastasis - why isn't surgery to remove the breast tumor, and then radation/targetted treatment on the areas of metastasis? Any insight

Decision time!
After finding out I had progression to my liver in July and acute side effects to Everolimus after only 6 weeks, I have been advised there is further progression to my liver. So I now face the dilemma of no treatment and at best 6 months, or choice of chemo. My oncologist has given me 3 options, oral

How long for ANA/ENA results?
I've had quite a few symptoms of what my GP suspects might be a CTD, spanning back about 10 years but lots more cropping up more recently. She's requested (I think) an ANA test and I understand from googling that if the ANA is positive it then gets sent for ENA testing as well? I'm not sure what the

Varying side effects or formulations?
I started on exemestane in September. Since then, the side effects keep morphing. The first month it was pretty good. My mouth was really dry, odd. I had some fatigue. (I wasn't taking anything else.) The sore joints I had on anastrazole weren't gone, but much improved. I thought this was going to be

Borderline TSH during cancer treatment
Hi folks! Haven't been on here for some time but in the interim I have been treated for Chronic Myeloid Leukaemia. Had chemo in September last year which was successful (minus a few hiccups like fungal pneumonia that put me in ICU!) and currently on home oral chemo, antifungals and antibiotics daily

diarrhoea, sickness and stomach pain
This is not something I normally suffer with so wondering if adrenals waking up might cause this? If not then the pate I had on Friday night was the culprit.

May be deciding between Afinitor and Enhertu. Thoughts?
Hi! I had a mixd scan, so may be moving on from Orserdu. A shame as I feel great. I am on the fence between Afinitor and Enhertu. I am HER2Low. I know Enhertu is supposed to be very effective, but I am concerned about side effects (nausea, fatigue, hair loss etc.) so thought I would try one last

Vitamin B12 produced by gut bacteria modulates cholinergic signalling
I simply can't help but think that this has some relevance to Pernicious Anaemia. But goodness knows what! And the lack of access precludes reading it all to try to find out. Seems such an odd bit of genetics that we developed an incredibly complex system to grab a tiny bit of B12 from our food, which

Worried about blood
Hi all Since September ish I have been suffering with constipation. I went to my doctors and was prescribed laxido. This helped and I was able to go toilet with no pain. I stopped taking it as I didn't want to be dependant on it but the constipation returned. I do about 90% of the time have bright red
