Hello EveryoneI thought it was time for a fun cutie pic and i hope you all agree it delivers. This was my expression when my local hospital rang to offer me a gallbladder cancellation for 15/3 which is this coming friday!!. Just couldn't believe it really as been waiting so long. 🀞it isn't changed as i'm still in a lot of pain.

I feel worried and relieved in equal measure, so glad to get it done and see what i'm left with. I do hope ,all of you who are waiting , that you get a breakthru soon.

This young lass obviously had the shock of her life with an Emu poking his head into her open car window for food. This was in Ohio on a farm.

Thank you all so much for your support. Its helped enormously. I will update you as to how i get on recovering.

Do hope you are all as well as possible and enjoying spotting Spring signs despite the cold still. I love this time of year.

TAKE CARE

Thank you weathervane for your lovely message and good wishes for friday. Hopefully it will be keyhole but they never fully know till the op gets underway. It means such a lot that you feel i'm so positive!!. Its been hard to keep it up with so much pain for such a long time, so i'm pleased i've succeeded.

Although there are no guarantees i'm so looking forward to losing this biliary pain. If i don't it will mean its caused by something else but it can still be treated!!. Not long to wait now and hopefully 🀞the hospital doesn't ring. We're all stressy whenever the ☎️rings as you can imagine!!. So far ok!.

I do hope your feeling better and your son's cat is improved too. Hope his house buying is moving along.

I will update as soon as i can as been so touched at all the lovely messages. The emu went well, yes, i'd be ill after the shock of that too!!.

Take care and have a lovely weekend. XxπŸ’•πŸ€žπŸ’πŸ™πŸ’•

🀞🏻🀞🏻🀞🏻🀞🏻All will go well with you , and that it makes a BIG difference with your awful pain .

My son’s house purchase is still ongoing, takes a while!! His cat is doing well , having another check with the vet and more bloods which she hates😿.

I had another biopsy on my arm ( hopefully the last) i took the dressing off after 2 days to find it was swollen and hot and tracking up my arm I was able to see the nurse who got the gp and started on strong antibiotics which did not agree with my stomach at all 🀒. All is well now and stitches out, results on the 10th of April.

Best wishes for Friday , hopefully you will be able to enjoy the Spring and Summer with out this horrible pain xxπŸ€—πŸ€—β€οΈπŸ€πŸ’πŸͺ»πŸŒΉπŸŒΌπŸŒΈxxxx

Sorry weathervane for later reply. I've been so touched at all the good wishes i've had for fri. I really do appreciate it .I'm really pleased your son's home purchase is progressing albeit slowly. We've noticed here that sales are taking an age to go thru with solicitor's shortstaffed etc. Our neighbour's bungalow is for sale as she had to go to live near her daughter. We'll notice it i'm sure as its horrible its empty and just want it occupied. Its had plenty of interest but no offers yet!!.

So glad pussy is improving too. Hopefully the bloods will be good. Its horrible having a sick cat. I'm glad there looking at vet's bills and why so expensive!!. Hope they do it in Ireland.

Sorry you've had a tough time with a 2nd skin biopsy. Awful getting that infection but glad its all improved. 🀞for your results next month.

So far no ☎️ call to change fri so it really feels nearer today!!. Felt rather stressed this am as i'm trying to be up to date with admin so i can concentrate on recovery. Some things will have to wait as i'm fast running out of πŸ₯„

Yes, i really hope both my ops could be done before June. Its a great time of year to recover.

Hello Misty. I remember I got out the same day and came home and had something light to eat. The next day I felt good and didn’t need any painkillers. Touch wood I haven’t had any problems since then. I don’t eat a lot of fatty foods but then I never did so I haven’t changed my diet. But I do eat cheese and butter with no ill effects. Brilliant Emu picture, just love that look of utter astonishment in the girls face!!

But even more brilliant is that at long last Helen you have got a date for the opπŸ‘!

We will all be thinking about you on here and wishing you a swift and straightforward procedure. It is a much much easier op to recover from nowadays. I was so much better after a couple of weeks of discomfort. It definitely was not dreadful pain and they controlled it well .

I am sure they will take great care of you.

Thank you so much cutty for your lovely message, and help and support with all this. Lovely to see your message on here. I am so hoping its keyhole surgery and i have the same outcome as you . Can't wait for the benefit and to be recovering afterwards. It sounds such a positive op. I'm sure too i will have good csre from my local hospital as its a good one. My nurse friend says i can contact her if i have any problems too. I may be in Day Surgery all day so i will send you a quickie message at the weekend. Then i'm having a break to concentrate on my recovery. I'm so very touched at everyone's kind messages of support on here so will also do an update when i'm up to it.

One consultant not mine said it collapses if eat wrong food, not convinced on that All best

Thanx for lovely message Soul. Sorry your having gallbladder problems too. I'm having mine out because its only working with 20%capacity which is too low. I had a specialist scan that revealed this. Apparently, they take gallbladders out if the capacity is 40% and below. I don't think collapse is quite the right word to use, sounds ridiculous really!!. I'm hoping its the answer to my awful biliary pain after eating but it may not be. Not long to find out now. Hope i've hekped. Thanx for your lovely wishes and take care. Xx

Oh right so collapsed isn't right terminology I did think sounded odd a AE medic said it's not totally it's to do what eaten that didn't seem right either.

I get pain after eating.

Il mention it when they finally sort out my appointment.

All best for yours I did research saw below 40%g function it's removed

Thanx so much EDD for your lovely wishes. I hope your Rheumy appt went well, i did think of you and hoped it was helpful and wondered how you were?. I hope she okayed MTX. I had a good Endo one. Talked to the new Consultant on the phone and he seems very nice. F2f next time as he wants me to try 5mg daily as its safer longterm. I'm on 6mg luckily. How about you?.

He's not sure my adrenals will recover but we'll see!!. Got to get these ops done first and once on 5mg he wants to do another adrenal test like last time. Thats early AM too!!.

I hope you've had a lovely Mother's Day and no rush to reply. I may leave your lovely message until i'm feeling better after op. I'm so drained of energy now as anaemic as well without treatment. Got lots to do for fri, so not long !!. Its an early AM start too but best bit is i don't have to come off mtx beforehand!!. What a relief!!. Feel really poorly and keeping 🀞 fri goes ahead. Foot is really painful as well so loss of one PAIN will be FAB. We had a Mother's Day outing to garden centre.

I hope your not too busy this week and your coping, lovely. TAKE CARE, XxπŸŒΊπŸ’πŸ€žπŸ™πŸͺ»

Hi lovely , I did send you a catch up WhatsApp a couple of weeks ago after my rheumy appt. maybe you’ve not seen it.? Yes she’s okayed the MTX 7.5mg, the injections are arriving tomorrow and the nurse is coming to show me how to do them on Wednesday! Fingers crossed, I feel a bit nervous about starting it what with my intolerances πŸ˜–, I’ve managed to get down to 7mg but I reduced it by 1mg since I saw her but my GP said not to reduce it anymore until I’m established on the MTX, if all goes well I should be off the steroids in about 18 weeks, well that’s the plan !

I’ve just had a week of antibiotics for a Diverticulitis flare so that was grim plus other stuff going on but I’ll fill you in. No don’t worry about replying until you feel up to it after your op, there’s no rush and I know it’ll be a busy and anxious week for you getting ready especially when there’s always the worry about cancellation on top of coping with everything else. Just know I’ll be thinking of you and praying everything will be going well for you πŸ™πŸ€žyes the early start is a struggle but just think this time next week and it’ll all be done 🀞

Take care lovely, big hugs πŸ₯°πŸ’•πŸ’œπŸ’xxx

Thanx so much for your lovely message EDD. I didn't get your whatsapp message and i sent you one which i don't think you got. It was at the time of changing my phone!!. So annoying isn't it when it doesn't work. Wonder why?. My number hasn't changed. We are a pair, because i've been on antibiotics too for a gum infection. I had to do an emergency dash to dentist. So sorry you've had a diverticulitis flare. That's been a longer time for you but so miserable. Hope your better now.

What a relief they okayed the mtx injections at 7.5mg. Do really understand why your nervous and dojng an injection is a big thing or did you do them in nursing. Good luck with the learning . I'll think of you lovely. Lupyewe did them and found it easy.

Keeping 🀞for mtx to work and you to tolerate it ok. Gp was spot on in his advice. Well done for getting to 7mg. That used to be the safer amount but its now 3mg-5mg!!. You've done really well EDD as its not easy. A good plan there for being off them in 18 weeks. Slow and steady.

Thanx for all your support lovely. Really appreciate it. I'm just worried about added nerve damage as its the same side. Hopefully will be ok as got lady surgeon!!. I'll send a quickie GMAIL message but it may be the weekend as could be in day surgery all day. I'm taking time out for recovery.

Thinking of you EDD , hope it goes well. Big hugs. XxπŸ€žπŸ’πŸ™πŸŒΊπŸ€žβ€οΈπŸ™

Hi Misty… I’ve sent you another quick WhatsApp to wish you well. No I didn’t get your last message either! Better luck with the next one 🀞sorry to hear about your gum infection Oow that’s miserable, I hope that’s settle down now, you don’t need added issues now, I’ll have everything crossed you’ll get to Friday and everything will go smoothly, even the early start πŸ˜–.

No I'm not worried about doing the injections myself, I’ve done them before and I’ve done plenty for others in my many years nursing which makes it a bit annoying that I HAVE to wait for a nurse to visit to show me how to do it, but it is what it is so I’ll be patientπŸ™„. It’s the side effects I’m worried about, you know how sensitive I am to stuff 😬

The company that sent out the MTX injections forgot to send a sharps bin πŸ™ˆ so yet again another phone call and now that won’t be delivered for ten days! Don’t we get so fed up with the endless phoning and chasing up 😫!

Anyway lovely do take good care and will be thinking lots about you.

Big hugs EDD πŸ’•πŸŒΈπŸŒ»XXX

misty14 profile image
misty14β€’ in reply toExtremeDuvetDaze

Oh EDD, its all so frustrating isn't it having to chase everything.?. Takes energy we don't have. I've got a jamjar for my used needles from my Adrenal Injections. I was recommended to do this as a sharps bin couldn't be organised and I may do it so infrequently.!!. Another 10 days is a long time so it delays your first injection?. Even more annoying as I'm sure you were told MTX can take up to 3 months to work!!. Just right for summer hopefully. Will be thinking of you learning. Its a bit silly as you're so familiar with injections!!. Rules is rules.

Can understand your worry, 🀞, you'll be ok, specially taking folic acid too and its such a small dose!!. Your not sensitive to all drugs.

Will try WhatsApp again, thanx so much for your lovely wishes. All the very best. Xx

ExtremeDuvetDaze profile image
ExtremeDuvetDazeβ€’ in reply tomisty14

That’s a great idea using a jam jar, I’ll do that thanks lovely πŸ™, no it won’t delay it, yep I’ve got the folic acid too, I’m glad you’ve reminded me, I mustn’t forget to take it πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ™ thanks for your words of encouragement, I must be positive 😊

Don't take folic acid on the same dsy as you inject EDD. Just on the days afterwards. Its a lot to remember but hopefully you will be ok. Good luck too for the blood tests. If you do get side effects at the start they may not last ,so it must be given time to see. Keeping 🀞that it works and you tolerate it well. It could help your arthritis symptoms too. Hope it all goes well. TAKE CARE, big hugs. XxπŸŒΊπŸ€žπŸ’πŸ™β€οΈπŸͺ»πŸ€žπŸ™πŸ’β€οΈπŸŒΊπŸ‘πŸͺ»β€οΈ

The emu wa quite brazen, to say the least. Great picture to make us smile.

I have been getting some information from all the neurological tests and will be having some more. Seems for sure that it is that my autonomic nervous system is causing a great deal of problems. I had the sleep study with a ton of wires and will find out the results of that this week. I will have scopes in April as well. Not looking forward to them as much. You've been such a kind, constant support helping me cope with it all.I am so pleased you are getting answers finally for your awful problems. Without answers we can't have help/treatment so i hope you will be feeling much better soon. Good luck for the results of your sleep study and for your scope tests next month. Not pleasant but necessary for answers for horrid symptoms.

I'm so hoping to lose this awful pain but there are no guarantees!!. Will still hsve a different answer if i don't ,which will lead to other help. Just will take a little longer.

Oh no svfarmer , its no fun being so rare because you don't get the right treatment quickly. We do come up with these funny things with these illnesses!!. Your heart must have sunk when they told you, mine would. I'm so sorry, svfarmer, what an awful worry for you both. Maybe, you will be transferred to a more specialist hospitsl who may know more about it.?. Its wierd because my gallbladder problem is rare but luckily my local hospital can deal with it.

Friday is coming quickly now and so far no changes to it. 🀞.

Good luck with the tests and i hope you have answers soon. Sending lots of healing thoughtwaves, keep me posted. XxπŸ’•πŸ€žπŸ™
