Hello Brothers and Sisters , as I will be having a PSMA-Pet , Pyl coming up at my 2 yr mark soon I was wondering at what size a metastasis starts to cause pain . I had a pain under my my left rib cage at about 7 o'clock off and on for 14 months . I had a X-ray , ct-scan and a MRI all negative . The off and on pain is about a 3-4 on a scale of 10 . I understand that the PSMA cant pick anything up under 5mm . So what can I expect ? Thanks All , SemperFi , JJ

It would have to be large to cause pain. It is common for one's imagination to go there.

If it IS metastasis, and going "on and off", then something, (meds, diet), is controlling it; (metastasis normally grow and cause constant pain). When it grows, pain occurs, if it stops growing, pain disappears. Also, it probably would be a lymph node near a rib bone, and it could be accompanied by others similar.
