Little Steps
Prior to my bariatric surgery I was walking 5K per day. Post operation (2nd week) and I'm building up my walking again with commuting to walk. Looking at running my first 5K by autumn 2018.

Well that's just great, GP just called and told me to stop taking Levo as a senior doctor at my practice doesn't agree.
I am so angry, my GP just called and said I have to stop taking my Levo as after a practice meeting her seniors said I have within range readings and she shouldn't of given it to me. She has now referred me to an endocrinologist, who I am sure will laugh me out of the office as many on here before have

Vision Loss after Chemo
Wondering if anyone has had
vision
loss
after/during chemo? I just got my 5th dose of Radium 223, a couple of days later my right eye was blurry and then I lost 80% of vision in that eye! The Oncologists say not tumor related and the opthomologist say they don't see anything wrong either!

Kefir Diary Update; Just a quick mention as I forgot. WHEN to take kefir to maximise it's benefits?? Ans. Half hour BEFORE food minimum.

I had to do quite a lot of research to find this fact out. We need to help the little Probiotic Wee Beasties transit through our stomachs while the destructive

I've lost the weight I gained from quitting!
As you may have read in my previous posts, I gained bout 5kg after I quit. I felt horrible about the weight gain but nothing can compare to the positive feeling of being able to quit for almost a year now. It was really hard to lose the weight that I gained and it seems like I just kept on adding weight

Anyone within 250 mi of Oakland with the thing that rhymes with Rogaine, but starts with Ibo?
I think this is ok to ask about here. I read the guidelines and saw nothing to lead me to believe this post would be a violation. I want to try Ibogaine, but will be traveling this summer (and leaving in two weeks) so am not sure how I’ll receive my order, but I can figure that out later. In the mean

Tropical Monsoons and Stares
Sadly, I got off to rather a false start due to the fact it has rained non-stop for the last couple of weeks. Not light drizzle, but huge South China monsoon rain. I restarted C25K this morning in the park. I have NEVER felt so self conscious before as many of the thousands of Chinese people in the

The episodes of
vision

became more frequent and at the end of May last year I had a stroke. There was a little bit of brain damage but they said because I was 34, I shouldn't have any long term effects from the stroke.

Just wondering, when doctors talk about 'your age' during discussions are they perhaps referring to physical age, not chronological?
I was set off thinking on this track by various posts/replies where responses have not seemed completely appropriate once the full picture emerged. For instance, if I complained I had been refused a second ablation (I haven't, but not been encouraged) 'considering your age' I know what the reaction from

PMR and Bariatric Surgery
I never seen a post regarding this. I have had PMR for five years. I have reduced down to 1mg/day but I have never been without some pain in shoulders, wrists, hips and buttocks. Have gained an additional 50lbs from steriods - Previously I still needed to lose 50 lbs. I am considering the gastric sleeve
