Rituximab experience?
Hi all. I have had large vessel vasculitis for over three years which, despite several different treatments, is proving difficult to control. An FDG PET CT scan last November showed some inflammation in all areas of my aorta still. I have just started Rituximab infusions. This has made me feel even more

Do you that have had Orchiectomy still take ATD Medication?
I’ve been told that I will be on ATD meds for life, I’m 63 and have been taking Lupron and Zytiga for going on two years. I asked my MO about Orchiectomy and he said if I did it he would still recommend Lupron. Can you guys please share your thoughts and experiences? Thank you in advance

anticoagulation fear
Hi! I started on anticoagulation in August. I started with apixaban 5 mg twice a day. I got very bad intermittent chest pains that worried me from the medicine that I never had before. Then I got gastritis. the doctor switched me to half dose to see if I could tolerate that and the same thing happened

Firmagon vs Lupron
So, the question is what are the up or downs if switching from Firmagon to Lupron. I used Orgovyx until it didn't work, switched to Firmagon. Wanted either due to family history with heart issues. Dad, uncle's, brothers, all having issues. One brother recently having a major HA... But the convenience

edoxaban or rivaroxaban?
I have been on Lixiana (Edoxaban) since my AF diagnosis just over two years ago and have had no issues at all with it. After my last request for a repeat prescription I got a phone call today from the doctor saying that the blood test I had last August (!) revealed a slight decrease in kidney function

Ketamine infusion
Hi, I'm wondering had anyone had a Ketamine Infusion for chronic pain? And if so, did it affect you in any way and did you get relief from it? I'm due one tmrw. Pain doc previously told me that it "messes with your head". I've had lignocaine infusions, the highest dose only lasted a week and a half unfortunately

Raynauds
Dr diagnosed me in 1994 with Raynauds said it’s usually a prelude to later disease like, arthritis or scleroderma I have both now. Along with numerous other diseases. Had open heart surgery in 2005. Stent put in aorta in 2010. And pretty sure my next visit to vascular surgeon in March for my PAD in legs

warfarin
That’s awful, in my 12 year experience with warfarin I was always told if you are over your therapeutic range you should reduce your dosage down not miss it for days. Not taking any anti coagulant can harm you if at risk of clotting. If this was a recent diagnosis I can understand why the doc wants

Stress--patience--tapering going well...
I've been reading the forum almost daily but haven't posted, so I thought I'd update. Now, after just three months, I am at 4mg, along with my weekly

Cure your RLS with castor oil
I have been suffering with RLS for nearly 45 years. I am now 75 and it is getting worse. I used to have several days between RLS attacks. Now I have one every night. I’ve been taking carbidopa/levodopa for 2 years. Helped so much but I believe augmentation is kicking in. Where before I had to

Advice on statins and vascular atheroma please
Story so far.... Had a recent hospitalisation in Cyprus for a problem unconnected to the thyroid (acute diverticular episode after 30 years of no major issues) which resulted in me having to have a CT scan when I returned from holiday. The scan was OK on the original issue, nothing sinister revealed

ra associated eye ulcers
hi everyone, I posted in this community quite a while ago about an ulcer in my eye which the rheumatologist said was caused by the ra. At the time, I was given some very helpful advice and information by Kags1068. Since then, I have had 4 more ulcers (my eyes take it in turns), and am currently in week
