Cure your RLS with castor oil

I have been suffering with RLS for nearly 45 years. I am now 75 and it is getting worse. I used to have several days between RLS attacks. Now I have one every night. I’ve been taking carbidopa/levodopa for 2 years. Helped so much but I believe augmentation is kicking in. Where before I had to take 1 to relieve symptoms, it now takes 2. Very depressing. I was watching a YouTube video on castor oil and how many health benefits it has. I decided to rub the oil on my feet at night before bed to help with my neuropathy. It worked. Have not had any pain in my feet since I started. But the biggest shocker was that from the very first night, my RLS has stopped. I’m on one week with no medication and no RLS. What a relief.

I hope this helps others who are suffering from this awful neurological disorder.

Wow. Never heard of someone stopping levodopa & not having severe withdrawals. Levodopa hasn't been prescribed on a nighly basis for RLS for over a decade, because of the very high rate of augmentation. If no meds & castor oil has helped you, brilliant! I hope it continues.

I agree with Joolsg. I find it very strange that it worked. Please let us know after a few weeks if it still is working.

That is amazing..I've never taken meds for RLS but tried anything herbal, vitamins etc...I already use magnesium butter and spray. Will definitely try castor oil...Am 77 and recently diagnosed with bowel cancer so have nothing to lose! Hope you stay RLS free....

You need the unrefined castor oil. Amazon do it. I’ve been putting it on my face to help with wrinkles 🤷‍♀️ will try my feet and legs now.

A little goes a long way!

Make sure it’s organic and cold pressed. 6 nights now with no RLS. Seems almost too good to be true.

The reason why castor oil worked for you is probably because castor oils has anti inflammatory properties (inflammation being the cause of your rls). If you keep causing the inflammation castor oil probably will not work as well in future and it probably won't give much relief to people who have a higher level of inflammation than you. The inflammation is probably due to foods in your diet. You can google 'foods athat cause inflammation' and you'll probably notice quite a few which are a part of the Standard American Diet. The anwser is to eat real food and avoid processed food.

Since the castor oil is working you can come off the carbidopa/levodopa which is no longer prescribed for RLS since it leads to augmentation faster than ropinirole or pramipexole. Which size are you on?

I would get an inexpensive jewelry scale on Amazon ($11 ) that measures down to .01 gram and shave off a bit of the tablet and measure it. Then reduce by that amount every 2 weeks. If the castor oil continues to work hopefully you won't have increased symptoms. If so you may need to reduce more slowly or with a smaller amount or if not you may be able to reduce more quickly. Wait until the increased symptoms from each reduction has settled before going to the next one. You may suffer and may need a low dose opioid temporarily to help out with the symptoms especially as you near the end. Some have used kratom or cannabis temporarily to help. But in the long run, you will be glad you came off it.

I’m not having any adverse reaction to stopping the levodopa.

Very quickly, love this post and will try it on my husband. To all, please look up the Edgar Cayce remedies using castor oil. My mom is going to a naturopath doc for her long term stomach issues and she recommends using a castor oil pack every day on her stomach. Edgar Cayce recommended the packs for many ailments and had great success. And yes, please, lets all post back after we try this - super encouraging!
