HRT - does it take effect quickly?
Hi For those of you on hrt do you feel the difference quickly or is it slow like levo? I am just about to start a trial of oestrogen patches and progesterone tablets. I still have regular periods but have on going fatigue and muscle aches, palpitations etc. Gp thinks it's because I'm perimenopausal.

Stopped taking NDT thyroid
Hello, could you share your experiences if you tried stopping thyroid hormone replacement? I was on NDT for years, developed hyperthyroid symptoms +very low TSH (normal ft3 and ft4), had heart arrythmia and high blood pressure, lost a lot of hair. Taking NDT didn't help with my weight problems or other

coming off prostap
hi i had a Prostap injection 7 weeks ago for a pre op (which I didn’t have) I really did t get on well with it. Very very depressed mood and terrible anxiety, insomnia and crushing headaches. Also lost my appetite. I’ve never felt so poorly before :-( it was scary. Especially the mental health side

help with Perimenopause anxiety/ depression
Hi has anyone found relief with their anxiety and depression using HRT. I’m feeling so desperate with many symptoms but these two are taking me over and a black cloud is following me everywhere. I’m on sertraline 100mg daily been on it a long time upping and downing the dosage. I was on 200mg last year

Birth control pill for hot flashes and feeling hot all the time?
Has anyone ever used the birth control pill instead of HRT to get rid of hot flashes and feeling hot all the time? Did it work? My body is not producing any estrogen due to being anorexic and so I was given the HRT estrogen patch(0.075mg)to take away the symptoms of feeling hot and hot flashes and it's

Birth control pill for hot flashes?
Has anyone here ever taken the Birth control pill to get rid of hot flashes and did it work? I have NO estrogen in my body due to being anorexic. So I am taking HRT estrogen patch(0.075mg) right now and it's not working 2and a half weeks in so I am wondering if maybe the birth control pill would work

HRT and Levothyroxine
I have been stable on175ugs levo for the last few years, and I have also been taking HRT. I have had to stop the HRT prior to a THR and wondered if this could make a difference to me regarding my thyroid levels. TIA

HRT MEDICATION
Hi everyone, I am on HRT Medication, which I have been on since I was 48 years old, for 8 years. I am supposed to have had a review every 3/6 months I haven't had one yet. Until I contacted my doctor last week and told her this. She couldn't believe it. I was supposed to have had my blood pressure taken

How long did it take for your HRT estrogen patch to take away your hot flashes?
I have been taking the estrogen patch for about 2 and a half weeks now-(generic Estradiol 0.075mg) and I have not gotten any relief in my hot flashes....My story is more complicated in that I am making absolutely NO estrogen due to years of anorexia making my pituitary gland not produce estrogen. So

Hi, I’m new to the forum and blood tests in general so hopefully I will give relevant info. I’m 54 and have had fatigue for the past 6 months. I’ve always been fairly low energy but this is a different level. I am 10 years post menopause so it’s not that, and I’ve been on HRT a long time. My blood

Fizzing iny head
My tinnitus feels like my brain is fizzing inside. It started after taking HRT 3 years ago. I have it every day. It gets worse when I'm tired or stressed. Does anyone have anything similar?

Sex hormones
Does anyone know if 26.3 (16-124) is lower than ideal? My testosterone was bottom of range but now ok with HRT. I’m trying to get to the bottom of my low cortisol and whilst this is in range, wondered if it should ideally be higher like your thyroid? Many thanks

Bad test news - questions to ask doctor
I knew my husband had AF following an EKG prior to surgery in 2012. He was a college athlete and only health issues have been hip and knee replacements. They tried to shock him out of AF but it was unsuccessful. He was put on Xarelto 20 mg. He has always been asymptomatic and I was naive since he

Hi I had a hip replacement 3months ago but still feel very tired after exercise. Is this normal after this operation. I am trying to walk every day and do my exercises as the physio suggests. I thought by now I should feel better than I do. Would like your thoughts on this for anyone out there who

After some advice
I'm 57 yo post menopausal woman with hypermobility and POTS (POTS only diagnosed in 40's after much pushing with medical profession). I take HRT and meds for POTS. I'm suffering with a number of tendonitis issues and wonder if anyone has any advice about this? At the moment it's achilles tendonitis
