Hello Wellington19I was taken by your message mentioning the John Radcliffe. I assume the Oxford JR? I was brought up in Oxford and miss it but have lived way up beyond Inverness for more than 50 years. Still, my main purpose is to ask for more details as to what exactly are you asking? The prediabetic diagnosis will take you into several appointments to check feet, eyes as diabetes is a long term condition and best 'nipped in the bud'. Be guided by your local team and if they tell you to lose weight then try hard to do so. I was told I was prediabetic and lost around 5kg but still was prediabetic. After much digging and persistence I had a different blood glucose test (oral glucose tolerance test) it was discovered that I wasn't prediabetic. ( I had leukaemia 20 years ago and my haemoglobin is now always low so this was giving the prediabetic HbA1c reading). Of course your history will be different and I hope you get your leaky valve fixed soon and are well on the road to recovery. My best wishes Milopalm
