B and O type Blood and Alkaline Phosphatase and Labs have different ULN
I just started Urso last month, and had blood work done last week, the other enzymes dropped a lot to normal range, but Alkaline Phosphatase is still higher than normal, around 187, not much change. I have 2 questions, 1. Anyone else with type O or B blood notice higher ALP if you aren't fasting?

Teeth issues
I’ve been on Yrso since 2019 and doing well on it. I also had 39 pelvic radiation treatments in 2016 for cancer. I know that radiation basically destroys your teeth. I’m wondering if urso leeches calcium from the body (I’ve also been diagnosed with osteoenia. Just curious. I’ve been losing a lot of

Cramps , diarrhoea and stomach discomfort
I was diagnosed in 2017 being on URSO, so far so good, my lft’s pretty ok , Fibroscan is now 9,3 from 5,8 . My doctor has prescribed me Atorvastatin 20 mg because she said cholesterol is processed in the liver. 2 months later I have found daily cramps, diarrhoea every 2 -3 days and general stomach

Hand stiffness does it go away with treatment?
I was diagnosed with PBC last month (stage 1) and started Urso. Assuming the Urso works for me, does anyone have experience with hand stiffness/pain? Did it go away with treatment? I had elevated liver enzymes for 20 years pre DX. My main symptoms have been fatigue and hand stiffness where my fingers

Bezafibrate and weight gain
I was switched to Bezafibrate when I couldn’t tolerate Urso or Ocaliva. It’s absolutely fine. However I seem to be gaining weight. Has anyone else had this?

Regression of Varices
Hi all, Following up on my mom's condition, she was diagnosed with PBC resulting in Cirrhosis two years ago. She was diagnosed quite late when there was already synthetic dysfunction and peripheral edema. Before treatment started she underwent endoscopy which revealed stage 1 esophageal varices. She

Contradictory information
So I'm just trying to understand and I'm not trying to be anal, but I find a lot of contradictions even here. These statements were made by PBCRobert. 8 years ago: There is much uncertainty when it comes to what constitutes a diagnosis of PBC. In the main, the concensus is that AMA positive

Do I really have PBC?
Sorry, I know this question has been asked before but I'm seeking a bit of clarity. I'm one of the lucky ones in that I have no ill health related to PBC and I do feel for those of you suffering so much. Back around 2001, I was found to have AMAs after a blood test for another reason. No unusual LFTs

How are you sleeping?
Literally… how on earth are you sleeping, because I can’t sleep. I have PBC/PSC overlap and am in early cirrhosis. I take Urso, Ocaliva, Prednisone, Salagen and thyroid meds by prescription. I was taking Benadryl a couple days and it was perfect, out like a light. I read Benadryl may not be safe for

Any one else.
Hi, sorry I haven't posted for a while. Sometimes I think I'm completely on my own in this. I have a couple of questions if I may. Has anyone else been on mycophenolate mofitil and had a really bad acid upset stomach. This did not start at the beginning of treatment but has come on slowly. Does anyone

Negative then positive then Negative AMA???
I am so confused. I'm not sure if I should even be here. 4 months ago I tested negative for AMA. 2 weeks ago I came back positive. I asked to redo the test and tonight my test results came back negative. Obviously haven't spoke to my Hepatologist yet. I was diagnosed solely based on a positive AMA test

I went on a clean diet lost 50 pounds and reversed my condition. The same week I was told I reversed, I was diagnosed
