Cramps , diarrhoea and stomach discomfort

I was diagnosed in 2017 being on URSO, so far so good, my lft’s pretty ok , Fibroscan is now 9,3 from 5,8 . My doctor has prescribed me Atorvastatin 20 mg because she said cholesterol is processed in the liver. 2 months later I have found daily cramps, diarrhoea every 2 -3 days and general stomach discomfort. Has anyone these symptoms??

always talk with your doctor but check side effects, I have had a bit from URSO itself but I still take it faithfully. I also take 10 mg atorvastatin but only 3 times per week because it makes my LFTs increase with more. Let your PBC doctor know about these new symptoms.

Thank you for your answer sharing your experience. My Lft’s after Atorvastatin are great , better than before. The issue is my stomachache and light diarrhoea every 2-3 days. In one month I will have a endoscopy ( stomach and colon) , just as routine.

Good Morning, I was prescribed atorvastatin and within weeks took really unwell, liver enzymes went through the roof…was takn off them straight away (I have nafld and awaiting biopsy re bpc)

Thank you for your commentary, all of us haven different reactions, but the unwell feeling is the same.
