Just having a moan
Just been to see the Rheumatologist again as my Gastro Consultant referred me back there. AAAAGH. I was diagnosed with PBC in 2010 and like most people on here seem to have to fight for every piece of information, I even had a second opinion. The Rheumatologist has referred me to Physio (yet again

Does any one know if the LighterLife Diet is suitable for someone with PBC?
Please accept my apologies for having already put this question in error as an answer to a previously answered question. Its my first time of visiting this site and I have already messed up. What I want to know is if the lighterlife diet is suitable to use if you have PBC. I am morbidly obese (BMI

Anyone ever come off of Urso??
I have been on Ursodiol for 4 1/2y and would dearly love to get off of it. Have seen bits and pieces on here about some of you not taking it. Have any of you ever taken it for more than a year or so and then weaned off?

Bleeding swollen gums
A couple of weeks ago my front crown became loose and my gum around it was very sore. I was also feeling a little sick with urso. I stopped taking my evening dose of urso for about 2 weeks and my gums cleared up. On monday thought i'd better start taking the evening dose of urso again. Low and behold

Increased sensitivity to sunlight?
Firstly I'd like to say "hi" - I am new to the site today. I was wondering if anyone else seems to be having any issues with sensitivity to sunlight? I was diagnosed with PBC last year and have been on urso since September. I am also currently taking an antibiotic (erythromycin) for a skin condition

Does anyone else out there have difficulty in getting specialists to talk openly about blood results?
My previous consultant used to flip up a table onto the screen and then immediately flick on to the lft's which were showing to improve. I saw two lines of red figures and when I asked what they were he said it was because of the steroids and not to worry. Now I have been taken off the steroids and put

I am just starting a new drug trial ,Colchicine and Methotrexate plus Folate to settle side effects (has anyone tried these?)This is sort of a last ditch effort as i am not responding to all other tried and tested drugs. What is the timescale for you for the review of the urso meds?
Just wondered as apparently I've been informed it is every 6mths. First I had heard of these when I was diagnosed with PBC Dec 2010 as prior had kept away from doctors and urso was the first repeat script I had ever really had. I think 6mths is a bit much in my case as I have bloods currently at a

How many days supply of urso do you get prescribed?
I had to argue my case with my GP over urso as originally he was going to just give me a prescription for 30 days (that is the denomination apparently). I managed to get 90 days but couldn't get more.

Did everyone have as much trouble getting a definitive diagnosis as I am having?
I've had two biopsies. The first was inconclusive and the second stated AIH, with features of PBC and sclerosing cholangitis. My consultant retired and have just seen my new one (gastro). Blood tests (yet again) because "something else might be causing tiredness." Arghhh!!! The first biopsy evidently
