Fatigue. Why are some days better than others? Is this normal?
Hi All, Lately, my labs have been improving and I was hoping I would start feeling better. For a few days, I wasn't nearly as fatigued and really got my hopes up. Now, the past several days, I've had very little energy....just totally zapped. Even coffee and almost 8 hours of sleep at night aren't

Has anyone gained weight on Urso?
I was given urso to take for itching at night. At first I refused to take it because it stated on the info slip not to take if there is another liver condition present I have AIH/PBC overlap. After my last appointment my consultant told me to take it as I actually should because of the PBC. I was

PBC/AIH, early stage of fibrosis confused.
Just seen my gastro doc on thursday for results of my biopsy. Confirmed I have pbc/aih. I asked him what state my liver is in and he said I am at early stage of fibrosis. He has reduced my urso, because I was feeling really sick, gums were swelling and put half a stone on. He said if my bloods are still

Has anyone who had abnormal lft,s when diagnosed with pbc had normal lfts since starting urso?
My lft's were very abnormal since the year before being diagnosed with pbc and despite being on urso more or less since then, 10yrs ago now, have never had noramal lfts and ust wondered if this applies to many pbc sufferers and if I should perhaps discuss stopping the urso with my consultant. I have

Hi, sorry not been active as much as I would like on here have been in hibernation..too fatigued to try. Just a short update. As I blogged before I have had issues with my weight due to steroids. Just wondering how long after starting steriods did your ALT begin to drop?
I've been taking prednisone, cellcept and urso (I have AIH/PBC Overlap) for two months and my ALT is rising. Is this typical or is the treatment not working?

Does anyone know if URSO would br prescribed to someone with advanced stage PBC at diagnosis?

Ladies have any of you been pregnant following diagnosis of pbc and if so did your consultant keep you on urso during your pregnancy?
I was pregnant 6yrs ago and was off the urso for first 5mths, the first 3mths I felt great but into the 4th month I became quite unwell. I was put back on urso and things improved. I have spoken to another woman who was on the urso all way through her pregnancy and she said she felt fantastic during

Just having a moan
Just been to see the Rheumatologist again as my Gastro Consultant referred me back there. AAAAGH. I was diagnosed with PBC in 2010 and like most people on here seem to have to fight for every piece of information, I even had a second opinion. The Rheumatologist has referred me to Physio (yet again

Please accept my apologies for having already put this question in error as an answer to a previously answered question. Its my first time of visiting this site and I have already messed up. What I want to know is if the lighterlife diet is suitable to use if you have PBC. I am morbidly obese (BMI

Anyone ever come off of Urso??
I have been on Ursodiol for 4 1/2y and would dearly love to get off of it. Have seen bits and pieces on here about some of you not taking it. Have any of you ever taken it for more than a year or so and then weaned off?

Should I take this Urso?
Went to gp today to ask about the itching I get on a night time. I have PBC/AIH crossover. Doc gave me some Urso to take at night, but I always read the information leaflet and it says "Do not take if you have any other liver condition than PBC. My dilemma now is should I take them or not....I am
