New Urso RX
Just picked up RX to start Urdo and was shocked at the # of pills for a one month supply, 270. 3 pills, 3 times a day, forever. I have PBC but no cirrhosis. Is this the normal RX?

Urso and hair loss
Hi Is there anyone out there that can tell me if they are taking urso and it is having NO effect on their hair? I'm reading stories about hair thinning and was hoping to hear if anyone's hair has not been affected?

Emlarged spleen
Hello Everyone I had my six monthly check yesterday, The consultant said that blood work was fine, the liver is functioning but my spleen is enlarged. For a few days I feel unusually tired despite being on Urso for over a year. Is my spleen an other organ I have to worry about beside my liver.

PBC OR NOT
I have been having bad joint pain, and fatigue for almost 5 years now. I also have had 2 children in the last 5 years, so everyone (including myself) attributed it to that. At least I did at first. I started to feel something was really wrong about a year after. It was hard to get out of bed, walk,

Is Pbc progressing?
This may seem a strange question but can Pbc be progressing if lft s are nearly normal?mine have never been high but have dropped a lot even tho docs won't give me full dose urso. I recently googled a site that said docs shouldn't take any notice of blood results as to progression of Pbc.i then wondered

Non responder/clinical trial
Hello everyone, 2 issues I'd appreciate help on please. I saw the consultant on Monday who confirmed I am a non responder to urso. He stated i am a long way off a liver transplant but they need to get me better treatment to improve my quality of life and hopefully prevent the need for a transplant in

Upset and confused 😭
Today I have been to see the consultant again and he has told me the result of my mri scan is normal and therefore he cannot offer me a diagnosis. He did confirm that my ALT has gone from 108 to 49 since taking urso and said he is happy for me to continue taking it. I asked him why I would need to take

Test results
I went back to specialist today for my liver biopsy results. I have PBC stage 1-2 and was put on urso twice a day. I have to go for an ultrasound next month for problems with my gall bladder. This site has been a blessing. It's has been really helpful to hear others experiences.

Side affects from urso?
Hi everyone I have been diagnosed with pbc over a year ago. Started taking urso no problem. It's been 15 months and suddenly I'm not feeling well. Nausea, funny head. Little dizzy. Needing or feeling like I need to urinate a lot. I did go to a regular Dr to c if I had UTI she said it wasn't bad

Steroid Free Yipeeee
Hi, I am so happy that for the first time in over three years I am steroid free. I stopped them on Saturday so I have taken none at all since. I have AIH/PBC overlap and I am hoping that my liver will hold it's own and I won't have to go back on them. Thing is, my asthma is really bad today; I had forgotten

from Canada
I am writing from Canada and after a year of testing, been diagnosed with PBC. The specialist here knows very little about the disease and has told me there is no known cause or cure. I began taking Urso seven months ago, along with some pills to help me sleep without itching and some more to do something

Pbc suspected but no urso if normal liver biochemistry
During my consultation with a rheumatologist for my knee and finger arthritis my blood tests revealed antibodies against ANA 1:1240 with MND positivity in immunofluorescence as well as the positivity of 3 very highly specific pbc markers i.e. tantibodies against namely M2-3E, Sp-100 and PML but AMA negative
