IgM levels please anyone?
Hi all I very much subscribe to the belief that our blood results don't matter as much as how we're feeling, but I'm curious about something... Most of my results normalised (or nearly) after starting Urso a few years ago, except my Igm. I know that this is quite a sensitive marker but not always included

Pain/discomfort after eating.
Does anyone else suffer with pain after eating which on some occasions I can only describe as 'gallbladder- gallstone' type pain (really painful) for around 10-15 mins and other times mild discomfort. Had my gallbladder removed 15mths ago. I suffered this a little pre diagnosis (11/2016) been on urso

Taking part in the NHS march
Good morning all. You might have missed it on the news particularly if you watch BBC, but yesterday there was an enormous march of over 250 000 people from Tavistock Square to Parliament Square in London protesting about the "sell off" of our NHS. AND I WAS ONE OF THEM!!!!. Feeling a bit tired today

What are all the different types of Urso?
After reading through some of the posts, I've seen where some people take a certain form of urso and others take a different type. How many types of Urso are out there? The label on my bottle says generic for urso forte. I take (2) 500mg tablets a day with food.

Feeling a little frustrated
Hi everyone. Was diagnosed with PBC just over a year ago after blood tests and biopsy. On Urso and my blood tests have stabilised. Have had episodes of liver pain and had a scan last yr which was clear. My husband has dragged me to Drs today (I'm a v reluctant patient) because I've got constant pain

Ursodiol prices
I live in the US. Urso is not covered by my medical insurance, because it is not considered "preventive". It is very expensive. For generic brand, I pay about $500/3mo supply, 1000mg/day. I wonder if this medication covered in other countries? Is it expensive or cheaper than in the US?

I have PBC since the age of 34. I have been taking Urso 1000mg per day for 6years now and there has been no severe itching and I am leading a normal life so far. I have two young kids. I stopped working when my first child was born as I wanted to spend all my time with them unknowing of the fact that

So tired and itchy and tired of being itchy
Hi all, I was diagnosed with PBC last summer and put on 1500 mg of Urso a day, I also take cholestyramine in the mornings. They could not advise of what stage I am in because the doctor who did my biopsy did not take a big enough sample (Ugh). Anyway, I get my bloodwork done every three months; my

Skin pigment changes
I was diagnosed with PBC in December 2016. My liver biopsy staged me at a 2. I started URSO early January of this year. I had horrible itching (how I got the ball rolling on my diagnosis). I think URSO added to it. My doctor started me on Prevalite and within a week my itching had gotten better...not

Ocaliva
Just started a new drug Ocaliva I take 5mg daily. This is a new drug for people that have PBC that take URSO and it doesn't work for them. Just checking if anyone has been taking this drug. I am having extreme itching.

LFT's have returned to normal...do I still have PBC?
I was diagnosed with PBC back in Dec 2015 due to elevated LFT's, raised GGT and AMA of 10.5. I started on URSO immediately and since I have also been taking a herbal tincture. For the last 6 months (2 tests) my bloods have been normal and last time my .AMA was 9. My GGT is still slightly above normal

Has anyone ever "gotten off" Urso?
My son had Lupus and has since passed away. Twenty years ago at age 46, I had my thyroid removed. This year, I learned that I have PBC in the earliest stage. I take natural thyroid and Urso. I am doing well so far. I often read of people with serious diseases such as Crohns or Lupus who claim to be off

Urso users
If all urso users have encountered problems getting urso its because you chemist your using is Boots. I had this problem about a year ago its because Boots is now an American company and only use one supplier. Change to a no chain chemist who use many suppliers. I've never had any problems since. Hope

URSO! Manufacturing issue
About to run out of URSO. Went to collect my prescription from Boots, only to be told no stock as there is a manufacturing issue. Anyone else had this ? No indication of when it will be resolved.
