A lot of folks with auto immune conditions get similar joint pains. Have you had recent blood tests? Sometimes a lack of magnesium is found to be the cause. Don't take any supplements without having your levels tested - but try and get some bloods done incase it's a simple fix.
I agree with AyrshireK, a full blood count will tell you if you are deficient in anything vitamin wise, I had terrible shoulder joint pain about a year ago, found out I had very low folate and iron levels which was making me feel exhausted, I had to drag myself upstairs. It’s always worth making sure your bloods are good before putting it down to PBC.
I have PBC and suffered awful bone pain however, it was not in the joints. I was sent to rheumatology for further investigation who discovered I had a vitamin D deficiency. I have to supplement now as I no longer absorb it naturally by sun light so getting tested is important. .
Being newly diagnosed I would see the doctor before taking anything, that way you can make sure it’s safe for your liver health. Also it’s important to have a correct diagnosis for your pain, not everything is PBC related.
I too am recently diagnosed with PBC and on Urso. I too suffer joint pain but have done for 30years due to another auto- immune condition scleroderma. I think my pain is worse recently. I would be interested to know if you find any solution to the pain other than painkillers Good luck , Dyffrynaur
