Pbc and Australia

Hi has anyone with PBC ever successfully managed to emigrate to Australia from UK? I am on trial at QE and wondered if anyone knew of some sort of reciprocal arrangement in AU otherwise the cost of Urso and Bezafibrate is too high for me to pay if had to self fund.... Any info would be greatly appreciated

Hi there, can’t say if that can be reciprocated in Australia but I was thinking that I am taking uso and bezafibrate but not as clinical trial. How you doing on them.

Hi there! I have been on Urso for just over 2 yrs but I have now been classed as non responder. I opted for bezafibrate as next line treatment but only been on it for 4 weeks. First blood test is 14 Sept so I will update then. How do you find this combination? Is it helping?

Hi there,

Iv been taking uso for 8 years now and was classed as a nonreponder about 6 years ago. Been on a few clinical trials with the QE and now in the second month taking them, all bloods normal now. I’m not sure if I feel any better on them as I can’t remember what it feels like to feel well anymore. I have now been told I have cirrhosis and prob had it for some time 🤦‍♀️
