Anticoagulant Clinic has switched me to Dalteparin from Warfarin after INR reading swing to 9.5
Hi all, just a quicky, after a coupleof months of Warfarin I've been switched back to Dalteparin as the Warfarin didn't agree with me, they recorded my INR as high as 9.5. It's supposed to be between 3.1 - 4.1 post heart surgery, pre heart surgery it was set as 2.5 - 3.5, has anyone else had such a reaction

Confused about Vitamin K
Hi I have been hearing a lot recently about how it is best to take Vitamin K with Vitamin D. I understand it should be Vitamin K2 What I am confused about from what I have read is that Vitamin K helps the blood to clot properly but I though as we got older we would not want our blood clotting because

Vitamin D & K - What's The Story ?
A little while ago I saw some posts about the seeming miracle effect of Vitamin D with Vitamin K having the abilty to switch the Gene back on, that regrows lung tissue. It was stated that this was not a quick cure, but was a slow growing process that achieved permanent results. Has anyone heard any more

Beware Sprouts
Hi fellow sufferers...How about this for a laugh?. I've been in permanent AF since Sept 2014 and on Warfarin. My INR was stable at around 2.2/2.7 and I was all set for my CV on the 26th March. Then I decided that I'd have a good feed on my home grown sprouts ----- every day for a week. Suddenly my INR

I may have a choice NOAC over Warfarin
Apologies in advance for yet another post. I may or may not have a choice between Warfarin and a NOAC when I talk with my Dr this Wednesday, but as always information is essential with decisions. My Warfarin appointment is on Thursday- but as yet I have not had an options discussion with my GP. As
