I love the stuff and use it for all sorts but I was just reading some advertorial and started to wonder if we should be eating it: "Amongst other nutrients, coconut oil contains a key nutrient called choline (a phospholipid) which we need for a healthy functioning liver (good for those who enjoy a

Please can anyone recommend a book giving the values of Vitamin K in various foods.
I am putting on so much weight trying to avoid green vegetables (which I love) and normally salads are a must for the summer - but I understand that lettuce has too much Vitamin K for those taking Warfarin.

Has Anyone Used High Dose Vitamin D3 ?
Hello everyone, I have just read a really interesting Kindle E-book (a free one!) written by someone (I think) called M. Azziz. He provides some hugely intriguing data and facts, complete with proper medical references, plus his own observations and experiences of the massive benefits of taking sufficient

Is a diet low in Vitamin K needed when on aspirin only or does this just affect those on warfarin?
I found the info sheets for low, medium and high vit K foods on this site and also found to my dismay that my diet is full of the high stuff, lots of watercress, soya etc. Now, I only take one 75mg aspirin daily and wondered if my diet would affect the aspirin in the same way that it does with warfarin

Eggs good or bad?
I have been on warfarin for about a year and am receiving conflicting reports about the vitamin K content of eggs. In searching a US database from a national body say that eggs, be they fried, hard boiled, scrambled or poached have a low vitamin K content. Whereas at the UK clinic where I attended

Ria Kohli, a 17 year old school student has fallen severely ill due to sudden attack of meningitis. This fatal illness had got intrenched into her body and is struggling to gain mastery over the victim. Do dietary vitamin k levels matter for someone on clopidogrel?
Having seen references to people on warfarin not being able to eat veggies etc high in vitamin k, it's got me a bit concerned. I'm on a special elimination diet for autoimmune diseases and it's high in veggies. If I have to restrict my vitamin k intake, then it'll make the diet even more restrictive.

What's the deal with vitamin supplements? Should vit k supplements in particular be avoided?
I would be interested to know what's good and what's not for persons with aps. For instance: as vit k aids coagulation, I'm assuming we shouldn't be going crazy on the greener shades of foods as well as taking care with vitamin supplements?

Can anyone suggest anti-inflammatory that doesn't interact with warfarin?
I have been on Warfarin for 16 years after having an artificial Aortic valve replacement. There have been times when I had wished I had gone for an tissue replacement. Due to unstable INR I needed venous blood tests virtually every 2 weeks, which would mean hour waits at local hospital and results back

is vitamin K ok to take when you're on plaquenil?
i've heard from a reliable source that it's best not to mix vit K with antimalarials, eg plaquenil, which i am on (400mg daily) but recent research is recommending vit K be taken with vit D to help bone density so far i've spent 3+ years successfully slowing the rate of my loss of bone density

Low glycemic diet
I'm lying on my bed, recovering from another dumping episode, I thought I'd use the time to google "low glycemic diet " as Larry suggested it might help. It seems incredibly complicated, not just what to eat but combinations of foods, to eat or avoid. I can just about understand the theory, but in
