Blood in urine
Hi all, I am 60 this month, I went for a check up with the nurse as I was a new patient. On the dip stick test, she said there was blood in my urine, and that it is most likely a UTI infection? She asked me about discomfort or pain or about me not feeling well, I told her I feel the same as always, that

Endo all gone š
Sorry for late update. I was in the hospital 10 hours yes 10 hours! I was admitted at 7 am and called to change into gown. Then called at 8 am to sit on a waiting room on a arm chair. I had to do a urine sample pregnancy test oh haha. And given stockings. Then I was called to see my endo consultant

Should I be worried?
I've been asked to provide a third urine sample in as many weeks. It shows wcc < 10 and rcc 5-99 i have no idea if that's bad. How many tests am i likely to have to do before someone tells me what's going on? Should i be worried about my kidneys? I finished a course of antibiotics a week ago and still

Adrenal Problems?
Hi, I had a total thyroidectomy 4 weeks ago. During the operation I had a high pulse (100) and woke up to a pulse of 140 afterwards. My pulse has been really high on and off since the op. It can go down into the 70s on occasions but can also randomly spike when Iām resting or asleep. Iāve suspected

UTI, OR SOMETHING ELSE?
I'm new to these forums, and this is my first post. I was wondering if anyone has any ideas or suggestions for me. I'm a 69 year old woman. Last week, I woke up during the night from low pelvic cramping. The next day, I felt like I was getting the start of a UTI (I've had them before). I went to Urgent

Private blood test revealed low folate & Vitamin D, could do with some advice
Hi I recently posted about feeling symptomatic despite receiving my B12 injections on a 6-weekly basis. I decided to get a blood test done privately which included comprehensive thyroid testing plus Vit D, Ferritin etc. It turns out that my B12 is normal as you would expect, but I have low Folate levels

Pelvic pain, muscle pain, joint pain
I went to the hospital last week with an uncomfortable pain on the right-hand side of my abdomen. Suspecting appendicitis, the doctor sent me straight to A&E, where I got a urine test. Turns out I had an infection and got sent home with a prescription of Co-Amoxiclav (antibiotics). Two days after starting

I am 44 years old and after trying for a baby for over a year and a half - i was diagnosed with endometriosis during that time - I find out that I am pregnant. I am absolutely over the moon as I was told the likelihood of falling pregnant naturally, if at all, was slight!! I had always hoped to be

High sugar levels gestational diabetes test negative
Hi ladies, I wonder if anyone has any advice? Every time I see my midwife I take a urine sample, and around 2 months ago a high amount of sugar was found in my samples. Since then every time I have an appointment high sugar is found. A month ago I had a glucose test and my results came back as negative

Home urine test kit
Anyone ever use a kidney disease home test kit? Supposedly they use the same dipstick procedures as they do in the doctors office. Over 90% accurate. I have one here but i'm afraid to use it lol. My gfr is 65 according to blood results. Which is considered normal I guess unless you have some other signs
