Mist likely coincidence although you feel fluey and achh with RA flare but a small dose of flu makes it feel like RA flare .... better then a small dose than the real flu!,I gave had a " cold" since mine though .. sore arm day 1 but that's been it. Dudnt want to risk flu or worse flu plus covid. And Iwanted it early as it appears there has to be a two week gap after flu jab to get covid jab from the data I read.
Unfortunately I had to wait 2 months after my treatment, Rituximab, so only just had my jab ๐By the time they have vaccinated nhs and old people , I will definitely be over the two weeks , more like 2 months for the Covid jab
Me too . But boy will it be worth it !! I'm taking a risk and booking july holidays , ferries etc already nearly full !!
Hi, sorry to hear that you're not feeling great๐I had a flu jab way back in September and I was absolutely no different than before I had it. Hope you feel better soon.
I got my flu shot on Friday afternoon. I felt fine all day Saturday but Saturday night the pains in my body wouldnโt let me sleep. It hurt yesterday but calmed down late in day. Iโm back โto normalโ whatever that means on any given day. Normal for me isnโt normal to others as you know with RA.
I felt very achy the next day after my flu jab this time. I donโt always have this reaction but remember the swine flu jab a few years back did the same.
The simple answer is it's not known. It could be coincidence but either way don't fight it. As you'll know the best thing to do is rest up as much as you can & hopefully it will pass quickly. If you feel you need to do let your team know, especially if your meds have been altered or changed recently. I had no reaction at all this year, not even an achy arm which, having thought about it, bothers me a little. Take care.
Sorry Iโm a bit late to this conversation. I had a flu jab in September and for three days afterwards boy did I hurt but I had to ride the wave of pain and debility. The day after the jab was the worst but thankfully it didnโt last too long. So yeah I know we are all different but I had a flare after the flu jab so I suppose it depends on how your immune system responds. Hope you feel better now and it doesnโt last longer than a few days.
