Fostair causing coughing?
I have been diagnosed with asthma, either atopic asthma or non-asmatic allergic bronchitis in February of last year, had one appointment and now followed by a consultant vis phone appointments. I was on Clenil 100, 2 puffs 2x a day, and having sore throat, hoarse voice, etc. After a trial of montelukast

Thyroid S/ Flu Jab
Hi Guys It's been a long time since I contributed to the site, but have read plenty. I have ran out of my NDT (thyroid S) and still waiting for delivery, I placed the order in June last year. I have another bottle but I seem to remember there was a batch which wasn't quite right, and I know the bottle

Vaccine question for the professionals
I plan to take up the offer of the vaccine when I get it (March for over 60s..IF) but my brother, an orthodontist in the USA has delayed taking it as he remembered the link to flu vaccine in 1976, and some people developed GBS after swine flu vaccination, which was a special flu vaccine for a potential

Covid /pneumonia ventilator
Hi again, just following up with my previous post. They have been trying to lower my dads sedation from the ventilator, but every time they do, his heart rate goes up and they’re not sure why. He does suffer from high blood pressure and they say his heart rate does go up and down. Any have or know of

Week 7 Run 3
Did my first run after a further period off after a cough and cold. I suspect I should have left it another week as my chest is busting now. Still I did do it. I’m not normally concerned about speed but should I be worried that the lady who was walking her dog a few steps in front of me was a good 200m

Problem with being extremely cold
Hi I have touched on this before but just wondering if anyone has experienced it.I’ve had episodes of being really cold even though the house is very warm, layers of clothes, hot water bottle etc. On Thursday it lasted over two hours and then I get very hot face, head and then it settles, but leaves me

A bit fed up
In the context of a global pandemic I probably shouldn’t grumble, but I’m a bit down after a phone consultation with my gp this morning. My asthma was diagnosed as severe after a nasty chest infection and (mild) pneumonia around Christmas 2019. Since then I’ve accumulated medications - now on Fostair

Feeling the cold
Since my Afib episode back in Feb. 2020, I really seem to feel the cold more than I ever used to. Is this normal or associated with AFib and does it ever improve or is it probably not connected?

What defines ‘Extremely Vulnerable’ for MPN?
Is everyone with an MPN classified as Extremely Vulnerable? I’m EV but assumed because I have very low Lymphocytes/T cells on top of PV. The risks with Covid are viral pneumonia as a result of weakened immune system (I assume this is why the old more vulnerable?) and the dreaded Cytokine Storm inflammatory

Non-Invasive Therapies
Hello All, I am new to this group and look forward to learning from experiences of others. I was diagnosed with prostate cancer the beginning of this month, and I am exploring non-invasive therapies as I want to avoid chemo, surgery, and most radiation therapies. Please let me know: [a] the availability

Skin sensitivity to cold
Hi, I was wondering if I am being a total wuss or does anyone else find this! I bought some spray for relief when my back/shoulder muscles ache. I asked my son to spray it on for me and it felt so cold I was crying and it was unbearable. I tested it on my leg or arm etc and it was obviously cold, but

Any advise welcome
Advise - not sure where any of this is going - diagnosed with pneumonia 8 weeks ago - very short of breath - main symptoms - fluid drained - chest x ray and CT scan and then another plural effusion- awaiting test results from fluid - CT scan shows a mass on my cervix and something in my lower spine.
