using propranolol during pregnancy

Hi all,

I very recently found out I am pregnant through ICSI , we are only 4weeks and 5 days. I take 80mg of propranolol daily for migraines. I'm a little cautious as I read it can get through the placenta? Does anyone have experience with this medication while being pregnant?

I would discuss with GP/midwife ASAP.

Many people find migraines improve in pregnancy (though some find they’re worse) so you might find you can stop it

I would discuss with GP and consultant for IVF - I was asked to come off propranolol (same dosage) before IVF as it wasn’t suitable for IVF or pregnancy.
