Antibody Testing After Getting the COVID-19 Vaccine: What to Know If You’re Immunocompromised
I know we've discussed this endlessly but I thought this article was quite good. As it says,[i] "there are risks in trying to interpret these antibody tests yourself, because even doctors aren’t sure what the results could mean. There is still a lot that experts don’t know about how the vaccine works

New here, cabg’ed
I’m new here. Cabg x 5 about 7 weeks ago. Dropped the codeine after about 2 weeks (weird dreams!) and slowly reading paracetamol. Following the advice, slowing increasing duration, not intensity of walking and only real problem is drain holes (2 of 3) not healing properly and starting a steroid cream

Tight foreskin
I have always noticed my foreskin to be quite tight, I did abit of research lately which led me to this page to help solve it, I’ve seen that trying to pull it back whilst in the bath/shower or using steroid cream can help after a few weeks. Is it just a case of trying to get it used to being stretched

Tuberculosis is the forgotten pandemic relying on a 100-year-old vaccine.
By some estimates, 2 billion people are now infected worldwide, and in 2019, around 1.4 million people died from it. It’s a pandemic infection, spread through the air — but it’s not COVID. It’s tuberculosis (or TB). Yet we’re not in lockdown for it. And we’re not queuing up for a vaccine. Some people

Anyone else had a smooth tongue and sore feeling inside of mouth?
Am worried. Whilst suffering with a kidney infection I seemed to have been bitten by some insect or other. I was given steroid cream and anti- allergy pills. A couple of days after starting these I noticed my tongue felt a bit sore and smooth. After. few days no improvement but certain food began to

Scientists Discover a Surprising New Way that Tuberculosis Suppresses Immunity
When Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Mtb), the bacterium that causes tuberculosis, infects a person, the body’s immune response is critical to how the disease will progress—either helping the body fight the bacterium or exacerbating the infection. University of Maryland researchers discovered a way that

Doxycycline found useful in accelerating recovery in tuberculosis patients
Globally, an estimated 10 million people develop tuberculosis (TB) each year and the disease remains a leading cause of death from a single infectious agent. Standard short-course anti-TB treatment still requires a regimen of at least six months of antimicrobial drugs, and drug-resistant TB

Anyone else have allergies along with Endo?
Grr.. Like things can’t worse! Battling anorexia, insomnia and psychosis.... So anyway, for about 7 years I’ve been ‘allergic’ to the sun! It has always been particularly bothersome! But now though, it’s got massively worse! And well it turns out, there’s no difference between the mechanism for sepsis

New studies identify how tuberculosis destroy the lungs and how to protect them.
Two new studies have cast unprecedented light on disease processes in tuberculosis, identifying key genetic changes that cause damage in the lungs and a drug treatment that could speed up recovery. Tuberculosis (TB) is a lung infection that has killed more humans than any other and until last year was
