Still Ongoing Chest Pain after full check-ups

NSAID Use/PMR
Seems that I have PMR. ESR and CRP are at the high end of normal so rheum won't commit yet, but US scheduled for end of April. Started in thighs, then shoulders. I work out and have for decades so I thought it was from overuse, but the pain was different, ergo, saw the doc. I also noticed the usually

Hernia operation with permanent AF and apixaban as blood thinner. How can I minimise the dangers?
Has anybody else with permanent AF and who is on apixaban or similar faced treatment for an inguinal hernia as I have a number of serious concerns? I had a right sided hernia over a decade over when I was just taking aspirin and had mild paroxysmal AF, so I stopped the aspirin for the op which was of

intralipids or steroids for final embryo!
hello, looking for some advice. We are having our final embryo transferred in April. We are going to introduce blood thinning injections, steroids and or possibly intralipids. However this is an NHS round so we are only allowed to add these in on a self funded basis after transfer. Just wondered if anyone

Oats, very surprised....
I've been eating oats in the morning for a long time. Mix it with blueberries, nuts, sometimes peanut butter. Over the last month, when I eat my oats and take the 3 medicines Aspirin, prasugrel and Bisprolol I've been feeling really queezy, light headed. I thought it was the medicines. This week

Aspirin vs apixaban and other blood thinners
Has anyone here with atrial fibrillation been prescribed aspirin rather than other blood thinners like apixaban? I would rather take aspirin but my cardiologist prefers apixaban. It seems like there is research that goes both ways. My GP rolls his eyes and says opinion changes from year to year. I

Ectopic heart beats

Potentially Heading Flarewards
Long post warning!!! After 4 years since diagnosis I thought I was starting to work towards the home straight. I have had 3 relatively PMR pain-free years with my issues being more anxiety or “other stuff” related. My tapering has been slowed down considerably by a couple of GCA concerns which thankfully

Finasteride and ED/ libido
I’m 71 type 2 diabetes angina BPH enlarged prostate. I ditched Bisoprolol - total loss of energy and tiredness. Stopped Amlipodine as don’t have high BP usual metformin aspirin and Omeprazole. Very difficult to archive solid erection has been getting worse for years. I think it’s the Finasteride.

Made my decision about ablation and very interesting article
Firstly, to my surprise I have an ablation booked for April 9th. But.....after doing much reading and talking to my EP I think I am going to decline at this time. What made my mind up is the article I have attached below which I think some of you will find very interesting. It talks about the PVI and

Feel shaky after breakfast
6 weeks ago had 3 stents fitted due to heart attack. All seems well other than weird feelings after breakfast and even one evening. Sort of bubbly inside and the evening one I was shaky on my feet so immediately sat down and ate a sweet as I feared low blood sugar felt fine soon after. I take Metformin

High platelets update….opinions please…..
Just a recap on my situation… 52 year old female under the care of a Haematologist for the last 2 years for platelets over 450. My latest platelet count is 486, the lowest it’s been since referral, prior to that 550-600. Negative for the three main genes. Gastroscopy and Colonoscopy all clear. Do have
