Venesection issues, looking for some advice, please.
I have a venesection next Tuesday, my 4th since a diagnosis of Molecular Negative PV in August 2023. 1 and 2 were fine, nurses were surprised at how quickly I was through (approx 30m - less that 1 hr). Beginning of March I was in the chair for about 1hr 40m, and nurse let me go. As it looked obvious

How did you decide on your treatment?
When I was first diagnosed with PV (age 59) my dr. had me do one phlebotomy (RBC 5.55, HCT 46.6, WBC 12, PLT 632 & ANC 9). He also discussed that guidelines say once you reach 60 you should go on Hydroxy but said it was just an arbitrary number. He did not have me do another phlebotomy. 3 months

Could I be harming my heart & vascular system with my consistently high BP, despite being on lots of cardiac and BP meds?
Despite being on the following list of meds I'm still getting BP spikes, with my weekly average being in the high 140's/80's and I'm getting angina, with related symptoms, weekly (although less intense since being on isosorbide mononitrate). I've been taking my BP for almost a year now and so I know

small lump/bruise on neck
Hi I don’t post much but I read daily. I was diagnosed with ET JAK2 almost two years ago. I take six Hydroxycarbamide capsules weekly, and an aspirin. I noticed this small bruise on my neck about six weeks ago, but didn’t bother about. I got a photograph taken and on the photo the bruise looks like

Just started Angrelide at 2mg/day
Hi friends Anyone with experience with Angrelide, how quickly did you see PLT count decrease? Did you observe PLT decline in a matter of days, or weeks, or months? What was that rate (eg, 100 / week drop)? Me: CALR Type 1, on aspirin only Many thanks for any insights!

clopidogrel
I’m taking clopidogrel and aspirin following a Watchman implant. I feel fatigued all day, foggy—just as I did on metoprolol and did even more so on amiodarone. I also bruise more easily and bleed more flowingly on clopidogrel than on apixaban, which I stopped when I started a three-month course of

My Platelets go down during the warmer months...
Hello everyone, I am new here--diagnosed in 2018 with JAK2+ ET, platelets currently in the low 600's. Here is my question: every year since I was diagnosed my platelets are much better in my May and September labs and then are much higher in December and March. For example, I was at 506 in September

Advice please on headaches and fatigue please
I am a relatively fit and healthy 57 year old, no health complications so when I was diagnosed with ET last year I was put on aspirin and ferrous sulphate for a watch and wait treatment. I am happy with this however from my platelets being 600 when I was originally referred to a Haematologist they have

ET, hydrea and feeling fatigued and depressed
Hi all, I haven't been on here for a while. I was diagnosed with ET 3 years ago. Ever since my diagnosis I have been monitored by a haemotologist in Brisbane (yes the other side of the world). The first two years everything was ok. I was studying and working towards a new career. I saw my haemotologist

Sotolol V Nebivolol
My partner was put on bisoporolol in October last year, this was done because he passed out at work in August, following investigation it was discovered that he had an irregular/ extra heart beat. One week on he collapsed after getting out of bed first thing in the morning, this happened again a week

Anyone have success after several donor egg FET transfers?
Hi everyone I'm 45 years old and have done 5 FET transfers with only one positive (a chemical pregnancy that was an early loss.) I told myself I was done with IVF, but part of me wants to try one more time. I have done all the testing imaginable- karyotype, genetic, immune, ERA, emdomitritis etc- all
