Rivaoxaban and surgery
I am taking Rivaoxaban for PAF. Caused after I had OHS for leaking valve. However I now have an inguinal hernia for which I require surgery. Has anyone got any experience of having surgery while taking Rivaoxaban especially hernia repair? I have previously been told u only need to stop Rivaoxaban

Hernia
I'd like an opinion from this wonderful, supportive & knowledgeable CKD group. I'm 77 year old male, stage 4 CKD with 2.7 creatinine & 21 eGFR. I'm having symptoms of Hernia on my right side. I already had Hernia repair surgery on my left side about 4 years ago so I believe I recognize the symptoms.

Feeling tired
I had an
umbilical
hernia
, which was a result of my liver being enlarged. When I saw it on paper I knew this was real. My next question is I have been told that if I do too much one day I will be very tired the next day.

Maybe because I’m happy, because tomorrow- nearly a year to the day since pain started in earnest - I’m getting my complex
hernia
fixed (large incisional and
umbilical
hernias) - so for now it’s a 👍. Anyone remember Brett11 - I bet you “oldies” - forum oldies that is - do.

18 days until a Hernia Operation.
I may have the World's oldest
umbilical
hernia
at 19 years of age. I've been through the difficult teens with it and decided it was time to let it go it's own way before it's 20th birthday.

Long overdue, concerned update..
Hello everyone.. I haven't posted an update on here for ages.. sorry. Had my ablation in June last year and have been doing really well since then. Moved house (and country) got a new job and everything. Not so much as a flicker from my heart in that time. Came off all the meds apart from ACs. Just

Now I have
umbilical
hernia
following pregnancy, and have got to have surgery to fix! I have tried so many diets in the past, but now I have baby and trying to work etc, I am finding it nearly impossible to stick to anything.

Has anyone had hiatus Hernia repair operation to help asthma?
I have had asthma for 47 years and horrendous reflux for the last two with spasm in my voice box. I’ve to have an operation next month to repair my hiatus hernia and wondered if anyone could share how they recover after the op and if their asthma improved. I’ve read that reflux can be a big contributor

Frustration with IBS diagnosis - Could it be SIBO?
I experienced extreme bloating, internal stretching, to the point where I had an
umbilical
hernia
, which I was operated on last year. I was reluctant to give up on veganism and my hunger was so extreme that I was constantly eating, feeling stretched, and I lost around a stone of muscle weight.

Happy Sunday All! Hernia Question.
So I joyfully developed an
umbilical
hernia
during my last bout of ascites. The ascites is gone now, but the hernia remains. It isn't really painful, just uncomfortable and weird. It has me worried all of the time. Is it worse? Is it strangulated? Doc looked at it.

Coming off Ramipril for Hernia operation
I have a hernia op in a few days but I'm worried about my Ramipril cough putting too much stress on my hernia repair for the first few weeks. I've got used to holding my hernia in when I cough or sneeze, but I'm wondering if too much coughing straight after the op will affect the mesh and stitches which

Healing ridge after hernia repair
a week ago I had surgery to repair an inguinal hernia. In the past few days I’ve noticed that there is a hard swelling underneath the scar. Reading up online it sounds like it could be a “healing ridge”. Has anyone else encountered this and what does it feel like?

Post-hernia swelling
So, I’m a week after an inguinal hernia repair with mesh. They opened me up with a baseball bat according to the bruising. I still have a lot of swelling around the area, is this normal?
