Bad reaction to gabapentin
I am just wanting to touch base with anyone else who has had this - I have only taken gabapentin 100mg 3 times a day for 3 days - and I have had to stop it as my body decided no way! I ended up with terrible pain in my arm - no swelling, but I have not been able to sleep for the last 2 nights and I

Elevated TSH despite its suppression
I had papillary thyroid cancer 4 years ago with local lymph node metastases. I had a complete thyroidectomy and underwent radio iodine therapy. I take a high dose of T4 and normally my TSH level is 0.5 or below. In two recent blood tests my TSH was around 6mcUI/ml, just above and below, and T4 was at

levo&ndt doses
Hello, I would like to try a combo of levo &ndt insted levo &T3. Now I take 125mcg levo +5T3 in the morning and another 5T3 in the afternoon and 5T3 at bedtime. I'm thinking of lowering the levo to 100mcg and replacing the rest with ndt (or levo&ndt in the morning+T3 in the afternoon) but I don't know-how

Regarding PMR and trial and error tips from meds to sleep.
Hi, just new to this forum and sio far from what I have read through I am glad I found this site. I am 64 and just new to PMR, diagnosed in October. We have a huge doctor shortage where I live so being as stubborn as I am, I waited until I could not basically move to get the pain checked out. Went to

I’m just about to order iodine from Amazon. Can anyone help with type, amounts needed etc. I can’t eat fish so struggle to get much iodine naturally.

Can you have a delayed allergic reaction to iodine?
Hi all! I had my laparoscopy on Thursday (found and treated stage 2 along with cervical ectropion - the relief is sky high!) but I've developed a strange rash on my tummy, it's small bumps raised, quite red. Seems like it could be the iodine as that's where it's worse. Has anyone else had anything similar

Saturday night, date night at the ER
Took my Jeff to ER last night. He was experiencing excruciating breakthrough pain for most of the day yesterday. He hurt so bad that merely changing positions reduced him to tears. His leg weakness was more significant, he felt weak in general, he had another (very brief) dizzy episode, he wasn’t feeling

Diverticular disease, IBD or IBS?
I have diverticular disease but for the past year or so I have this pattern where I wake up in the morning have three decent bowel movements and the urgency continues all day long. This is daily and doesn't stop and of course I get tenesmus and rectal pain to boot. My stools are long and on the thin

I want to get rid of this disease ASAP. How can I do? I'm really disappointed with my hyperthyroidism.
I have been hyperthyroidism since six years ago. I think I didn't take medicines regularly, my heart is beating very fast. How can I do? Because of the side effects of radioactive iodine, I'm afraid to treat it. Now I take Carbimazol vs Propanol. I can't go to hospital because of my country's conditions

100-150mcg of T3 but STILL COLD AND TIRED
Hello I am a 31 year old female. I have SELF DIAGNOSED as hypothyroid (normal TSH, LOW free T3, normal(ish) free T4). I had an eating disorder for 20 years and this can disrupt the HPA axis making TSH and T4 normal but T3 low due to conversion problem. I KNOW the dangers of self-medicating but I was

Thyroid test results with a total thyroidectomy
Good morning all. Can anyone answer my question - I had overactive thyroid in my teens then in 20’s had radioactive iodine followed by a ‘partial’ thyroidectomy about 2 years later. I had cause to need an ultrasound on my throat about 30 years ago and this showed I had no thyroid tissue there at all

How to react to possible GCA flare after Moderna flare
Day 3 after Moderna booster, and having S/S of GCA flare. What are you all doing to compensate. I am currently on 20mg a day, took a extra 10 the day of, and took Tylenol prophlactically. Anything else? did anyone keep more predisone on board for a couple of days? I had to take more today, because of

Surgery yesterday
I had my laparoscopy and hysteroscopy yesterday and feeling very sore and bloated today. They’ve prescribed me codeine and told me to take paracetamol and ibuprofen too when needed. What can I do to help relieve the pain from the bloating? All my gynaecologist has told me is that I have a lot of endometriosis

4th Moderna (Booster) Shot is Kicking My @$$
Yesterday 1/13 I got the Moderna Booster exactly 5 months after receiving third full dose of Moderna. I was curious how I would react, as I had pretty noticeable side effects with first three shots. Well, at 3am this morning my curiosity was satisfied. It’s kicking my but. Fever (100.9) chills, body

Gabapentin and CKD
I have CKD stage 3A. I am 57. I will be having surgery to relieve a horrible, pinched nerve in my neck. (Spinal stenosis) It is extremely painful. I don't want to take opioids for many reasons and because I have kidney disease, I only take Tylenol which is like taking air when going up against this level
