Chronic pain post navicular fracture surgery
Hey, new to posting but I’ve been looking for places with people who may have some similar experiences. I am 2 years post op to correct a navicular fracture which has healed well from a surgical aspect. I do however have chronic, debilitating pain on a daily basis now. I’ve seen surgeons and i’m waiting

POST-HERPETIC NEURALGIA
Hi, first time on here and hopefully might find some advice, if not it might prompt some to ensure they get the appropriate shingles vaccine. I was diagnosed with CLL in 2014 with my first round treatment in 2017. This went reasonably well and I then went 4 years before it was decided that I would need

long lasting bleeding
Hi all. For context, I was diagnosed with endo almost two years ago via laparoscopy (I was fortunate enough to be able to go private because I was sick of the medical gaslighting). I was on birth control pills until last year but I got tired of pumping myself full of hormones so came off over a year

Comments On Blood Test Results Please
I don't post very often but I read a lot on here, and after having a Blue Horizon full thyroid blood test, I would be interested in the thoughts of anyone on what came out of it. I had radioactive iodine some years ago and am on levothyroxine (100mg). My results from the GP always come back as 'normal

T3: the devils doing
Hopefully, if you read this you’ve seen my original rant about the ablation (RAI) of my Thyroid for graves. You will have read that at the time, despite my almost blind faith in the GP and Endo (and their proposed care path), I had my reservations: I felt my condition had settled under the long use of

APIXABAN
Just got home from the ER. I had a CT scan done of my head and everything was fine so they let me drive home. There is a lot of discussion and worry about "apixaban" and bleeding and other problems. I want to put everyone's fears to rest. Got mad at myself about 3 hours ago and slammed my head against

b12 levels
hi I’ve recently been feeling fatigued more tired than usual at work and a general feeling of being unwell. I had routine bloods done and my b12 level came back as 1260. I did receive a b12 injection 2 week before the blood test as my pharmacist recommended it to maybe help with my symptoms. Also I was

CT Thorax scan with iodine contrast
Hi does anyone know if it’s safe to have an iodine contrast for a CT thorax scan with Hashimotos, I’m confused if it’s good or bad with Hashimotos as I’m worried it might make my heart race. My lastest blood test results from the NHS are TSH - 0.07 (0.30 - 5.00) and T4 - 11.1 (11.5 - 22.70) and cortisol

update: tapering, nausea, steroid withdrawal, adrenal glands
Three weeks ago, I wrote about having nausea and dizziness at the beginning of my taper from 6 mg to 5.5 mg. I had just taken 5.5 mg for the first time on the Wednesday and on Saturday, was very nauseous and dizzy, with a sore neck later in the day. Both the dizziness and nausea went away within a day

My story - vaccines, Covid, questions and some things I've learned
This is a long hard story to write, but I hope it will help others. I think that is what this forum is about - our experience in an effort to help others. And it is to ask questions. I would ask that this be given respect and not be turned into a debate. I just want to tell my sad story and my many

Asking for advice following RAI
My MIL, bless her had an RAI several years ago due to hyperthyroidism. I often wonder if they got it right as she never fitted the profile for overactive. I know she's always struggled with weight gain and if anything I would have said she was more hypo than hyper. Several years later she's never been
