Awful night sweats: hyper, hypo, other - update
Hi. 13 days ago I posted about horrid night sweats https://healthunlocked.com/thyroiduk/posts/149807088/awful-night-sweats-hyper-hypo-other The correct name is generalised hyperhidrosis as the sweats are all over, not just palms, armpits, etc. Back particularly sweaty. This has continued and is affecting

Stopping Cerazette
First time poster, but I’ve taken many tips from this board so thank you all in advance. 2 years ago I doubled over in agony, eventually got sent to A&E via my GP with suspected appendicitis. Wasn’t appendicitis, it was a haemorrhaging ovarian cyst. Sent home with painkillers, had a couple of scans and

Early 50s male, healthy till hypothyroidism my first few months experience of treatment
I don't usually share info on the internet, but as a lot of material out there is aimed at women or Americans (I mean no offence to either!) I thought I'd stay my experience so far. Diagnosis, what does it all mean, and treatment/first medications. DIAGNOSIS Late 2022 I saw a nurse as I was taking longer

Pain relief
Has anyone found any pain relief to be effective? I’ve tried so, so many and there’s not much left for me to try. I have a brilliant GP who is always happy to listen so I thought if anyone had found anything effective, then I could always suggest it. Currently prescribed naproxen and diclofenic suppositories

Like everyone, I'm trying desperately to get my antibodies at an optimal range. I currently take 75 mcg of Tirosint and also something called T-150 by Xymogen, which my functional doc prescribed. (It's basically a bovine, multi-glandular, mineral, and herbal formula to support healthy thyroid function

is iodine in almond milk a problem
I’m sorry if I’m making too many posts here. I’m happy to be redirected if better. I just noticed that my almond milk says it contains iodine. Does this mean I should avoid it? I’m just trying to have a life detox of all things bad for thyroid.

I have known for a long time that wine is a trigger for me. I decided to cut out sugar, not all carbs just sugar. The result is amazing. covid/gca
I tested positive for covid yesterday and was started on Paxlovid. My major complaint is head and jaw pain. Could this be a GCA flair? I doubled my prednisone to 6 mg yesterday but nothing seems to help. I have been taking Tylenol every 8 hours. My recent blood tests Sed rate and CRP were excellent.

Hi all, I'm back with another request for your valuable input.
