Rheumie appt. - Speechless!
I have just returned from my 6 monthly appt with my Rheumatologist. She was talking ‘at me’ before I’d even sat down. Maybe I was rude but I interrupted her and said “Good Morning”. I have reduced to 4.5 mgms Pred and thought she would be pleased by this, but she asked why I was not off Pred altogether

IV Iron Infusion for RLS
Have any of you gotten worse after an IV Iron Infusion? I got Infed 1,000mg iron. For the past 2 weeks my RLS has been worse and I'm getting up to pee 4 times during the night. (No, I haven't changed my liquid intake). Is this a normal reaction? Will things improve ? Is it temporary or am I permanently

Hi, thanks for reading my post. I have Hashimoto’s, am on T4/T3 combo and get migraines. Have been told I can’t move onto migraine preventative injections etc unless I try 3 prophylaxis meds first. Propranolol and Amytriptaline no help, so now they say try Candesartan. I have enough bad reactions with

low or high stomach acid?
I have been suffering with heat in my chest and a cough and have started lansoprzole which has helped but not much. Prior to this, a lot of stress with antibiotics and antifungal medication for infections. Could I have low stomach acid instead? I am testing my thyroid privately and vitamins to see

Am I being blasé about stomach protectors whilst on Pred?
I have had PMR for 3 and a half years and generally feel lucky that I am not feeling as bad or fatigued as many on this forum. I am certainly not as fit as I was but age has a part to play. I am 75 and used to be able to do big hikes, Zumba and so on but can still walk 4 to 5 miles and have just moved

RLS? PLMD? Myoclonic Jerks? All of the above?
I am a 69 year old man in the United States. In 2016, I started experiencing leg spasms that would occur when I lie prone or leaned back in my recliner. I first noticed it during the day, but it would soon keep me from falling asleep and staying asleep. I mentioned it to a doctor I was visiting for
