Hello Lovely Members So I just had my dreaded Endo appointment at Royal Berkshire Hospital and the Endo prescribed me T3 but wanted me to add in 50mcg of Levo as my TSH is so suppressed and my T4 levels are non-existent. I agreed to try. I think this Endo is not on our list so his name is Dr ([i]name

Dr declining Levo increase
I was diagnosed with autoimmune hypothyroidism last August. Currently on 75mcg levothyroxine. Symptoms are better but not gone as much as I’d hoped so requested an increase via letter as couldn’t get appt. They then phoned me for a telephone appt but said as numbers are in range they won’t agree to

Are these results okay?
Hi,I have been having overwhelming fatigue resulting in me needing to sleep during the day most days, which is most unlike me. I have also been having heavy periods every 3 weeks, sometimes even less, last cycle was 19 days. Terrible brain fog and inability to concentrate. GP said it could be thyroid

Understanding results
I have just got my blood results back and the doctors where not very helpful. I'm just trying to understand each part. TSH - 6.5 mlU/L (0.30 - 4.50) Free T4 - 10.1 pmol/l (10.0 - 22.0) TPO antibodies, Positive - 104 (0.0- 34.0) Any help so I can try to make a plan on what to do next would be appreciated

I’m currently taking levothyroxine - 75 4 days a week and 100 3 days a week. Latest test results are T4 21.7 and TSH 1.92. Time to change my dosage or continue? I can’t get an appointment with anyone sensible now for over a week

FT3 often higher than FT4; are my symptoms even hypo?
Hello everyone! I've been hypo now for a bit more than two years. Probably three or more, but diagnosed 2 years ago, and also taken levo since then. As doctors can be a bit difficult, and I have felt with no other choice, I have raised my levo dose myself several times. Otherwise I would still be

Hypo after all?
Hello everyone, this is my first post, though I’ve been gleaning pearls of wisdom from this site for a couple of years, so thank you all! I’m a 60-year-old male. I’ve had chronic fatigue since 1988; tight forehead pain and a horrible “saturated brain” feeling since the late 1990s (brought on by reading

I’ve been off levothyroxine for 10 years now (I was on it previously for 5 years as my tsh was 6.8 but stopped as my levels returned to normal). I only had it tested as I’m trying to get pregnant and wondered if

Secondary hypothyroidism
Has anyone had problems with central hypothyroidism and their tsh going to zero. Doctor refusing to raise levothyroxine because it will suppress tsh to much but my free t4 really needs a raise. Does a low tsh really cause afib and osteoarthritis or is this false.

Test results show no inflammation
I posted here 4 months ago and got my blood tested by the GP. There are no inflammatory markers in my blood, but I have a constant sore throat and dry eyes which are also beginning to suffer with high pressure. I am paying privately to have my eyes checked out by a specialist, but I just wanted to check

Exhaustion may not be thyroid related!
Hi all, just wanted to share my recent experience which came as a complete shock/surprise. So, usual story, feeling exhausted, needing to nap all the time, barely able to function. This feeling has been even worse since new year, barely able to get out of bed. Now, I knew I was a poor converter and needed

Can levothyroxine cause hypothyroidism?
This happened about 25 years ago: I had hashimoto's and a large goiter, but tsh and thyroid hormones were normal. Before starting levo I had some symptoms: dry, fine hair, some cognitive issues... but I felt almost healthy and was active 17 hours a day). When levo was prescribed, I felt very cold and
