recurrent oral thrush
Hi all, I’m looking for some advice around inhaled steroids and constant oral thrush. I was moved to flixotide 125 last year after my asthma worsened. I take 1 puff morning and night. Since summer last year I have had oral thrush on and off constantly. I never had this on my previous inhaler which

Fed Up with everything.
I have been on haemodialysis since May. Having completed all the tests etc at the beginning of November, I was just waiting to go live in the transplant list. My previous consultant, who is now on maternity leave, said my results were good and she even said, I would probably receive a new kidney before

Bleeding internal haemorrhoids
Hi all, does anyone have regular problems with bleeding internal haemorrhoids? If my motions are soft, I have no problems, but as soon as they are the least bit hard, then the bleeding and soreness start up again! I have tried all sorts of lotions and potions, some on prescriptions, but it never goes

BATMAN
Yesterday, when I complained of the apparent lack of interest in using BAT to prevent CRPC, I should have briefly mentioned the old BATMAN study (2016). Although BATMAN involved hormone-sensitive men, there was no castration phase. Therefore, the BATMAN protocol was not designed to prevent CRPC.

Peritoneal dialysis and Neck pain at night during exchanges ……any help? Asking for my mother
Reaching out to this expert community to see if anyone has any experience and advice so I can help my mother. She has been on peritoneal dialysis for about 3-4years. Her exchanges happen at night on machine (not manually). Most recently she has been dealing with pretty significant neck pain. That happens

The Thymus & ADT
New paper below [1]. The thymus has an important immunological role during childhood, but strangely, shrivels up at puberty. A PubMed search of gives 1,753 hits, going back 100 years. Many years ago, I discovered that castration could cause the thymus to regenerate. I wondered what that meant for

Pausing BAT ?
For now I am pausing BAT after six rounds, but would be interested in any thoughts. I am on continuous Eligard, with dutasteride during the last three of the six periods. Each testosterone shot was 400 mg, given at intervals of two months or more. I also take a lot of the usual supplements. Prior

Stearic Acid & Oleic Acid
I have grown hot & cold over the benefit of olive oil over the years. The major fat in olive oil is oleic acid (55-83%). Some will say that the true benefit lies in the high polyphenol content of unfiltered extra virgin olive oil [EVOO]. However, this is not what the majority of people around the

OVM-200 Phase 1 clinical trial ( vaccine)
I thought I would start a new thread as the original was about the decision making but now I’m in it I realise a clean thread may help. So today is day 15 of the trial and I am getting the second dose of the vaccine ( subject to clearing the screening this morning). I will then be observed for 4 hours

What condition(s) makes hair go: a) from wavy/curly to straight? b) darker at the back of your neck? c) grey/blonde -> brazzy/orange? Hyperthyroidism or hypothyroidism? Possibly other conditions?

I think I’m impacted
About two years ago I was diagnosed with IBS-C. I was prescribed Lizness, which worked a little… too well. I woke up twice having pooped myself in the night. After stopping the medication, I used natural alternatives and while still having uncomfortable trips to the bathroom, they were manageable. About

Psych evaluation
Hi! This is for those of you who are either on the liver transplant list or who have had a transplant. What I'd like to know is whether you were given a psychological evaluation or a one-to-one conversion with a trained therapist as to how to deal with serious organ rejection should it occur.

Help with diagnosis please.
I'm guessing fibromyalgia is going to be my company for the coming years unfortunately but is for thr doctors to decide that of course. How yours was diagnosed? Was your GP helpful? Did they send you for what tests? Did they make a referral to a rheumatologist? Any advice is more than welcome. I've
