Could my hip pain be something to do with PA?
I was diagnosed with PA last March. I've had hip pain for about 3 years but it is getting a lot worse since last year. Pain killers don't work and the exercises physio give me only make the pain worse. I went to see a chiropractor yesterday and he was a bit baffled because I'm very flexible so he doesn't

Hello all, I’m new here and just after some advice because this world of endo feels a little overwhelming atm. A little about me - I’m 27yo and have always suffered with v heavy painful periods and accepted it as ‘normal’. Was on mefenamic acid in my early teens, then got by on OTC painkillers. Tricycled

Jerking legs
I have been taking Gabapentin for many years for what was diagnosed as RLS. But I get painful jerks not only in my legs but also other parts of my body. Pregnancy and RA.... Ouch
Hi all, Haven't posted here in quite a while, hope everyone is as well and as comfortable as is possible. I realised I had an issue with my joints around 2016/2017, but was largely dismissed by my GPS as thing got increasingly worse. I fell pregnant with my second child during this time and was advised

Prednisolone for reactive arthritis
Hi, all. My husband was diagnosed with reactive arthritis a couple of weeks ago and after no improvement with painkillers and anti-inflammatories and antibiotics, he’s been put on prednisolone. He’s pretty much bed-bound because of the pain in his ankles, knees and shoulders. He’s 44 and not had any

Gallbladder issues post-partum
Since I gave birth to my daughter 19 months ago I have been experiencing intense pain in my right shoulder and all the way round to the top of my stomach. I was induced and on a drip which made me have back to back contractions for 15 hours and the pain was so similar to this but I just put it down

Vaccine encouragement!
Hi all Its Amy from Mencap I am posting about my 1st vaccine jab I was notified by text from my GP surgery in London and given a link to book a appointment which was useful. I decided to have to have the vaccine as it would save others and myself from this awful killing virus and had it in North London

Long Covid diagnosis
Hi Everyone, Having been unwell almost all of last year, I've just been diagnosed with long covid. I've had lots of different symptoms but the worse one is that I am so, so tired all the time, yet I can't sleep. I've never had problems sleeping - my problem has always been that I sleep for too long!!

Newly Diagnosed + New Hormones
So after years of symptoms I finally had surgery in Jan 2021 where I had confirmation I do have Endometriosis.....what a relief! The surgery removed all the endometriosis (ovaries, fallopian tubes, bowel). I was on a double dose of progesterone pre surgery for 3 years(ish) and I have now come off this

Pain management post head injury
Hi, My partner had a traumatic brain injury in 1992, and for their entire life they've been very sensitive to pain. They broke their ankle last week, and have been in excruciating pain no matter what painkillers they take or how often. From what I can tell, although it's difficult to find information

OMG it's back
Hello, I had PMR about 5 or 6 years ago and now realise the pain I've been in is a return visit. I didn't know it could come back. I will try and contact my doctor tomorrow but until then can anyone advise me what painkiller works best until I can get the steroid tablets which magically made the pmg

Dealing with pain and fatigue
Hi, Does anyone have any tips for pain or fatigue? My endo is back with a vengeance. I need more surgery but I am avoiding it. I used to be on 60 mg codeine but found it unbearable due to the side effects. It affected my cognitive ability which I need as I am a senior manager. I also have 2 children

Pain relievers for osteoarthritis
Thank you everyone for your replies and useful information. I’ve kept using the Tylenol with the heating pad but turned up the heat as high as I can stand it on sacral joints and hips and spent more time resting which has really helped. Going for walks is still painful but bearable. I’m going to

5th day after circumcision surgery - Random sharp pain in penile shaft and area
I was circumcised 5 days ago - shang ring for phimosis. I've reduced the pain killer dosage as the pain has more or less subsided. However, I get these random sharp pains through penile shaft and area. These pains last for about 3 to 4 seconds and then go away. Is it just post surgery reaction and
