PSA in again at undetectable which I am assuming means my testosterone is not recovering . No T result yet but 0.5 last month! Still on Apalutamide as a monotherapy but coming off that too is bouncing around my head. Would love to go med free, still watching all developments and still no idea of the

Prostate cancer radiotherapy side effects.
I’m a seventy seven year old who had a radical prostatectomy eight years ago. Following one of my regular PSA tests the result showed, after scans in September 2023, a return in the prostate bed and adjacent lymph nodes. Began hormone implants straight away followed by twenty doses of targeted radiotherapy

... what, then, do we die of?
New study of SEER data below [1]. The old comforting words that men with PCa "die with the disease, not of it" does not apply once mets occur, of course, but is largely true for local disease (the majority of cases in the U.S., due to screening practices.) It has long been known that men with PCa

herbicide and recurrence
I'm looking for scientific evidence on herbicide exposure and cancer recurrence. Background: My condo association wants to spray my lawn with herbicide. (2-4-d & dicamba; thankfully not glyphosate--at least not yet) I've asked them not to and suggested safer alternatives. They say I'm being a PIA

salvage radiation after surgery?
Hi - Shouldn’t I be doing salvage radiation or chemotherapy now? I had my surgery February 25 and Doctor wants to wait for first PSA iat end of May. However surgical pathology showed negative margins but showed intraductal, cribriform, loss of PTEN. and PNI. Even though there was no EPE, no SVI, No LVI

Cause for concern?
Would you please comment on the following article which may mean a new PET scan is required I'm my case? ( I Hope not!!) Extract from a recent article which is double Dutch to me!!! "...... Ignorant/lazy docs only take notice of the PSA, when it is widely known that at low PSA PSADT is equally, if not

Urinary incontinence in mCRPC
I am looking for help for my 81-year-old father who is mCRPC. He was diagnosed at stage 4 about 18 months ago with mets to 8+ bones including the skull. Summary of the following treatments: Bicalutamide this drug failed in July 2023 and the patient transitioned to Xtandi started in September 2023.

Constipation is a known issue with the Orgovyx
I've been on Orgovyx (Relugolix) for around 2.5 years now. and find myself getting increasingly constipated. It's the most tenacious SE. My labs are all stable and my PSA is stable at <0.02. But I'm now on 4 types of laxatives and next am planning on getting an enema and trying that. I have an appt with

Cancer return alert without scan or PSA ?
I'm more curious than anything to hear if you knew the cancer had returned somehow before any scan or blood test really told you? Pain? Bladder issues? Other signs ??? I'm wondering how many really knew somehow or sensed it and it was later confirmed ? Most people are very in-tuned to their own body

Radiation at low PSA levels
I saw an article or a feed somewhere for starting radiation for recurrence after RP that salvage radiation at around 0.05 level provides a higher potential for cure vs. waiting until it rises to 0.20+. Has anyone seen this article or statistic? Tx

Anti thyroglobulin Antibody High
I'd a mole removed from my right shoulder blade last November that was initially feared to be cancerous, but thankfully wasn't so. Since then I have an annoying pain in my right upper abdomen. Have had an endoscopy( am awaiting report but consultant didn't seem overly concerned) had a cystoscopy which

Lynparza - warning!
I'm writing this in pure agony in hopes, that it might help someone in the future. My father is castrate resistant and when Xtandi stopped working, his MO put him on dexamethasone + abiraterone + Lynparza (olaparib). This combo is now registered in European Union even for men without BRCA mutation

Pluvicto damaging salivary glands?
Finished 6 rounds of Pluvicto 9-1-23. Now on ADT holiday since 1-1-24, psa unmeasurable so far. During the treatment, had increasingly serious drymouth and nasal congestion and irritation with bleeding, which I attributed to radiation damage. Since then, there has been some, slow improvement, but still

High Gleason score + .2 PSA
Want to share this link about when to start salvage radiation after surgery. Only a few years ago, the cutoff PSA for starting radiation was .5 Now, my doc and others want to start before it gets to .2 (I'm at .11, and I have a "risk factor" due to Gleason 9 score) https://www.cancernetwork.com/view
