MRI from 3-30-2024.
I have been on active surveillance since 2016. Recently had a jump in PSA from 6.5 to 8.29. Had an MRI on Saturday and here are the results. Any thoughts or input are greatly appreciated. Impressions --No significant interval change in appearance of the prostate, with stable size and imaging appearance

Does Gleason score still apply after RP
Hi all. I have never been able to get this question answered. My Gleason was 3+3 before having my prostate removed. It was confirmed 3+3 after surgery. One open margin of less than 1mm. No sign of spreading anywhere locally or distant. My psa was in the .02-.03 range bouncing up and down for 8 years

PALB2 genetic defect-Lynparza
I have PALB2 genetic defect. Just completed six cycles of Taxotere as part of triple therapy (chemo, Nubeqa and ADT) for about 20 Mets (PSMA scan) mostly skeletal (no organs). Only four Mets still lit up on PSMA scan after four cycles of chemo/Lupron/Nubeqa. Next PSMA scan in Jan. 2024. Oncologist recommends

Durability of Pluvicto treatment?
Just completed Pluvicto treatment #5 of 6 and extremely thankful for the good results. Had a PSMA Pet scan before #5 and it shows that PCa continues to disappear (read from right to left — pre-treatment, after two treatments, and after four treatments). Hoping for pretty much 100% remission after #6

Spot Radiation before Pluvicto?
Haven’t posted for a while about Mr. Spouse21 until I had some data as his PSA began to tick up a few months ago. Last week a PET FDG confirmed recent bone and CT scans. Summary of main results:
Multiple tracer avid osseous metastases. Most prominent involving right margin of T12.

HDR boost Brachytherapy + IMRT
Hi all, This is my first post since being diagnosed with g9 metastatic PC. PSMA PET showed several pelvic lymph nodes with Mets, but no other spread, and bones are clean. I’m trying to finalize my choice of radiation treatments. I’m currently on Lupron and Zytiga, and PSA is dropping like a rock

after EBRT …monitoring?
I’m up to fraction 20, today, 8 to go. (YAY!) I’m sure my RO will fill me in in upcoming appointments, but was wondering what I could expect in terms of monitoring results of my treatments afterwards. I’d imagine routine blood panels, monitoring PSA, but should I expect another PSMA PET scan at some

Maybe because of "careful" patient selection, but still great: PSA Undetectable in First Patient Cu-67 SAR-bisPSMA
Positive results for mCRPC, very positive. Sorry if I have already posted this (my mind is not so sharp lately...was it ever??). "The first patient with prostate cancer dosed with 2 cycles of 8GBq of 67Cu-SAR-bisPSMA has reached undetectable prostate specific antigen (PSA) levels using PET" https:/

Uh... Oh... New Phase Awaits?
Dx 12/09, G4+3 Surgery 01/10 – Failed SRT 2nd quarter 2011 – Failed. Avodart worked for awhile. Eventually HT (Lupron + Casodex) in mid 2013. Worked great. Since then lengthy HT vacations 12/19/22-6/22/23 ---Orgovyx. Worked well so was able to stop...BUT NOW Starting to look like castrate resistance

Chemo Update March 27, 2024
I was treated with 6 rounds of docetaxel in 2017/2018 when I was HSPC and I responded exceptionally well. I have been CRPC since 2022 and have tried abiraterone and Radium 223 (Xofigo). I just completed 7 rounds of docetaxel again and PSA went from 105 to 3.1 after 4 rounds then started doubling. Now

News: not about prostate cancer but interesting
CRISPR CAS9 starts to be recognized as something that can really help in many circumstances. It takes a while to shift to a broader view of technology (e.g “I don’t agree, you are playing with DNA” as if pollution, smoking, some food additives etc etc didn’t do the same). This is something that could

Hypertension Stage 2, need advice.
Hello: My blood pressure has been uncontrolled for about 8 months. My primary care doctor has me on 100mg of losartan, and 5mg of amlodipine. I am also taking 1000mg of abiraterone, with 5mg of prednisone; also .4mg of tamsulosin. And I had an orchiectomy. This morning my BP was 156/97. It’s been running
