What to do?
Hi All, At the end of August 2023 I completed 8 rounds of docetaxel. On 9/13/23 my PSA was 5.7, 10/30/23 8.25 and 11/27/23 it’s now 16.72. This year has been a shit show. I know my MO will put me on pluvicto. Here’s my quandary: I am a single gay man. Parents gone. No siblings. All I have to really

Sudden onset of severe leg pain
Yesterday my husband was strolling about the house as usual. Last night he experienced debilitating pain in his right thigh to the point he collapsed when trying to put weight on it, and then could not sleep because of the pain. He has needed a walker for even a few steps. We visited his PCP today

BAT trial update
I commenced the trial about 2 months ago and I have now had 2 cycles of treatment consisting of testosterone injections and carboplatin infusions. 5 days ago I had my first CT and bone scans and the trial leader tells me my 3 detectable rib metastases are 'stable'. The stable assessment is good enough

PSA 0.5, 6 yrs after prostatectomy
Hi all, My father's PSA has risen to 0.5 today. He had the prostate removal 6.5 yrs back in 2017. His gleason score was 8, PSA around 20 at the time of surgery. However post surgery, it was indicated that seminal vesicles were clean and no occurence in lymph nodes so it was indeed a localized tumor

What is reco diet to take abi with food?
I am on Lupron and Abi two months now with <.1 PSA down from 2.2, MO says I can do abi w food if I want, so is it an okay idea to go with 500 or 250mg per day vs 1000, and if so, how many grams of fat constitute the low fat breakfast to eat with the abi? 🙂

After BCR and PSA Return: An Update on My Treatment Path
Hi Everyone, I realize it's been quite a while since I last shared an update on my journey. I thought it was high time to share how things have been going for me, especially considering the somewhat controversial path I decided to take in early 2022 following Biochemical Recurrence (BCR) and the early

coming off prostap
hi i had a Prostap injection 7 weeks ago for a pre op (which I didn’t have) I really did t get on well with it. Very very depressed mood and terrible anxiety, insomnia and crushing headaches. Also lost my appetite. I’ve never felt so poorly before :-( it was scary. Especially the mental health side

ADT + darolutamide + docetaxel (ARASENS trial) has anyone tried it?
Hi people! My first update since the diagnosis. After less than one month of regrouping and ADT only (decapeptyl - triptotrelin, which got my PSA from 70 to 15), my MO decided to do the ARASENS trial triplet (with my full approval, I was going to propose him this protocol). Has anyone tried it?

PSA Tests
Every 6 months, I get a standard PSA test (following surgery and radiation four years ago) and it is "undetectable". Under what conditions is an ultrasensitive PSA test useful?

PSA after Biopsy
I've heard that the biopsy procedure (14 cores) can elevate future PSA results. What is the recommended number of days or weeks to pass before scheduling a follow up PSA test? Thank you!

Upon losing my father , some retrospect. Take what you need and leave the rest.
Tysm for all. Unfortunately my dad's death was long and horrifying bc he couldn't breathe . He died of leukemia to my knowledge, not prostate cancer and please dont jump on me for saying so bc I am vaxxed and I'm not an anti vaxxer, but I have no doubt that that the vaccines sped up his demise as he got

from undetectable to 0.02
I have been undetectable for 3.25 years and today it came back at 0.02. My bio is up to date. We ran the test at the exact same lab as always and in 2 days I am flying back to my Sarasota home from Milwaukee and was wondering which lab is recommended for 2 digit accuracy? I know Labcorp only does 1

Rising PSA
Hi, have updated my profile to reflect recent changes. A gradual increase in PSA (1.2) with the prospect of changes to treatment if it continues at the current rate and gets near to 4. The oncologist is suggesting probably chemo but I would like to know more about other options before that discussion

Abiraterone SE when added to Lupron?
I am a PSA =2, low volume, oligometastic HSPC. I got my first Lupron shot 4 weeks ago. I started to get a couple hot flashes per day in the last week from the Lupron and of course I expect fatigue to kick in over the next six weeks. What additional side effects might I expect by adding the abiraterone

Finished 8 Rounds of Docetaxel
Hi Fellow Warriors, Four weeks ago I finished up 8 rounds of Docetaxel. This year has been a medical shit show: 2 UTIs, pneumonia, Covid, sepsis, sinus infection which became chronic sinusitis, numerous falls with the last fall resulting in a dislocated hip. The good news! Before starting Docetaxel
