Just finished up with chemo. Went from 139 psa @ dx to 1.66. I didn't make it to the non detectable team. Not sure what to think as many here with higher psa's have gone down lower. I'm currently still on Orgovyx and Nubeqa. Should I ask for more rounds of chemo as I've done 6 ? Will my PSA possibly

rash reaction to Xtandi
I was taking Xtandi and developed a rash in a few places. my oncologist insisted on getting me off of this medication.. I went to the dermatologist and he explained that he has been able to help people stay on medication even if they develop a rash. The dermatologist did a biopsy and contacted the oncologist

Meeting with our oncologist for castrate resistance metastatic prostate cancer
We met with my Dad's MO yesterday. (Diagnosed 10/22 with advanced metastatic cancer, became castrate resistant about a year ago.) He shared that the Xtandi is still blocking some cancer growth, but not all of it. His PSA is 2.8 (currently doubling every four weeks.) His PetScan shows some growth (

Stage 4 A Prostate cancer
My partner was diagnosed with stage 4 A prostate cancer with spread to pelvic lymph nodes. Oncologist has recommended surgery followed by radiation and hormone therapy for a good prognosis. Many of us like myself know much about what is good or not good when it pertains to our diet. That said, I listened to this podcast from Dr. Geo . Figured I would share it. For me it was a good reminder and reinforcing to my diet practices. Hope you all find it helpfull. https://

Luteolin, ellagic acid and punicic acid and prostate cancer metastasis
Ok here we go again, excuse me if this was already gone over. I know Pomegranate has stated benefits, but in combo with these other supps may increase the benefits according to this study done on patients and our favored friends, the mice- lol. For me if it can't harm and may help then why not.

PSA Bounce After Radiation Therapy
I am trying to understand PSA bounce or change in PSA levels after RT and have found two studies useful. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7465291/ https://www.nature.com/articles/s41391-021-00387-4 Some analysts distinguish between PSA bounce and biological recurrence, and see a possibility

PSA from .08 to 2.1, after 2yrs ADT with zytiga and RT @59 yr
so seems to be back and waiting on PSMA PER SCAN. From what I understand, they usually look for something and do a scavenge RT treatment. Anyone who’s gone through this did you have to go back on ADT because that just sucks.. I had high risk Gleason score 9 anybody deal with this? I’m sure. Let me know

urinary bother duration
after SBRT and now in my final months of lupron, i still have frequency of urination at night. I had spaceOAR inserted before SBRT. Now at eight months, i was hoping the frequency at night 3-4 times would have abated. Have treat oxybutinin. Nothing. Have tried Gemtesa and it practically closed down

New blood test to detect neuroendocrine PCa
Summary: Researchers have developed a blood test that can reliably detect neuroendocrine prostate cancer and differentiate it from castration-resistant prostate cancer-adenocarcinoma (CRPC-adeno). https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2024/01/240110120221.htm

A question about radiation resistance
Last week a post was made about Decipher showing high radiation resistance. My decipher showed the same. Quick question. If you have had SBRT and it hasn't deliver a “killing dose” to tumor, is brachytherapy a follow up option? My PSA showed rise after SBRT, (from 8.6 to 12) Ro and Mo attributed

1 year on - no PSA but tumor has "progressed"
Hi all I am writing on behalf of my dad, who is not as tech literate as I am. He was diagnosed with adenocarcinoma of the prostate (suspicious nodule in the left peripheral zone) back in June 2023 following an initial MRI, biopsy and PSA test (results from those tests are below). He was advised to

Hi! We’re beginning to research facilities for second opinions, next step guidance to supplement what we’re learning from our local doctor. My husband is BRCA2 positive, had a prostatectomy, salvage radiation and now his PSA is starting to creep back up. I know it’s too early to take additional treatment

Am I becoming castrate resistant on orgovix?
I moved again and hopefully this will be the last time. So, I have had to put together a new Medical team and meet my new MO this Tuesday. My bio is pretty up to date. I'm stage 4 and have some lymph node mets and some bone mets. It's been over a year since my last scan which showed improvement from

Neuroendocrine Prostate cancer (NEPC) questions.
I’ve had some very concerning symptoms lately so I started looking up more about NEPC. I have some of the listed symptoms. I’ve been under enormous stress lately, caring for my mom who’s in her 90s. The stress may have cause my cancer to mutate. Last year I remember reading something on this site
