Transitioning off of Pramipexole and onto Horiziton/Gabapentin. 600 no of Gabapentin and results have been so so. Take it a 5 pm and ot seems I start getting the symptoms a bit and other nights not. Taking 12.5 mg Ambien trying to sleep and last night was not good. Buzzing toes , fingers and extremities were going crazy. Finally at 2:30’this morning I took a half a thc gummie and slept till 8 am. Was shocked I slept so long and I have no symptoms this morning. But, my wife is aggravated with me saying the mix was dangerous Other than that, it’s a good start of the day. Going to ask mid I can boost the Gabapentin to 8-1200 mg. I notice since coming off the Prami, I don’t have to stop driving to take a 15 minute nap nor am I startled out of a semi trance while driving.

Which gabapentin or Horizant? I assume you meant only gabapentin?
How long have you been off pramipexole If the symptoms haven't settled from that gabapentin won't help you much. And it takes 3 weeks for gabapentin to be fully effective. After that increase it by 100 mg every couple of days until you find the dose that works for you. Take it 1-2 hours before bedtime. If you need more than 600 mg take the extra 4 hours before bedtime as it is not as well absorbed above 600 mg. If you need more than 1200 mg, take the extra 6 hours before bedtime. Most of the side effects of gabapentin or pregabalin will disappear after a few weeks and the few that don't will usually lessen. Those that remain are usually worth it for the elimination of the RLS symptoms. If you take magnesium even in a multivitamin, take it at least 3 hours before or after taking gabapentin as it will interfere with the absorption of gabapentin and if you take calcium don't take it within 2 hours for the same reason (not sure about pregabalin). According to the Mayo Clinic Updated Algorithm on RLS: "Most RLS patients require 1200 to 1800 mg of gabapentin ."
I assume you also meant CBD or THC gummies. They are OK to take with gabapentin.
Have you had your ferritin checked? If so what was it?
