Transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS)

I would like to share my experience with transcutaneous (that means through the skin) electrical nerve stimulation (TENS), a method of pain relief using a mild electrical current. A TENS machine is a small inexpensive device with electrodes connected to sticky pads.

(Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation): For those who have used TENS units, how effective have you found them in managing hand joint pain during flare-ups? I'm keen to hear your personal experiences, tips, and any other non-medication strategies you've found helpful.

I don't see everything on this website so I may have missed this, but, there's some scuttlebutt about a TENS machine that is supposed to help RLS. Perhaps it's called something else in Great Britain.

I have AF, I also have arthritis in my neck which is very painful but I cannot take anti-inflammatory medication because of the anticoagulant and stomach issues.
