Confused need opinions!

hi everyone!

I just wanted to post and share my journey so far and see if anyone else had similar experiences before getting diagnosed. I know this isn’t a professional page but any help and guidance is appreciated.

I have had extremely heavy periods since 11 years old, going through most of a pack of pads a day, sometimes bleeding through a tampon a pad and then through my clothes🙁

I get pain in my ovaries constantly, pain in my upper legs, back pain, excruciating pain on periods, bleeding in between periods, pain and bleeding during and after s*x, bloating the works!

I had a scan in jan 2024 and it shown loads of cysts so I got sent to nhs Gynae, she then put me forward for a laparoscopy in June 2024 - didn’t find any endo. Disregarded the whole process, The pain never went away. Found out the surgeon specialised in diagnosing downsyndrome and pregnancy!!!!

Jan 2025 I had similar pain that I get in my ovaries but a bit higher up, it apparently was appendicitis and had a surgery to get it removed. They mentioned they didn’t have time to look in my ovaries for endo so left in the unknown.

I have a doctors appt this Thursday to see if I can change pill because it isn’t working (tried everything including coil, combined pill, mini pill)

Pain killers such as paracetamol doesn’t help at all so I’m left using codeine and my tens machine to help along with hot water bottles.

Does this sound like endo? Or do I fall for the manipulation by doctors to make me think it’s nothing?

You need a specialist surgeon who can really spot endo. Alternatively there are some very skilled ultrasound practitioners who can do it or perhaps an MRI interpreted by an endo specialist x everything you say points to endometriosis xxx

It's obviously not nothing regardless of whether it is endo or not. If you are having all those symptoms, I know it's hard, but I encourage you to keep pushing until a cause is found. I am fed up with doctors behaving like is is okay for women so be in this much pain, it isn't.

Sorry fory rant, but it's something I feel strongly about.
