(A year ago she had a carcinoid removed from her lung but the bc is not linked to it.) After that bc surgery they said she was okay, she just got the tumor

Advice on Transplant timing
My GFR is 15. My creatinine is 3.28. I have not started dialysis yet but my goal is to have a transplant before having to start dialysis. I have a donor and we are in the process of being tested. My donor is also in the exchange program so the likelihood of getting a transplant is good. I don't have

Messing Up
I am my Dad's "go to person" when it comes to his Dialysis machine and informing him of any and all changes that are made. For those who are familiar with Home Peritoneal Dialysis where you do it at home; and, in my Dad's case, he does his dialysis care with the aid of the machine overnight (when he

I feel like they are trying to kill me.
I’m new to dialysis. I’ve been going for 3 months. The first 2 weeks were ruff, as my body got used to it. Them things started to go well. These last two weeks have been bad again. I get hot, develop a really bad headache and muscle cramps. I talked to the doctor about it, and she told the nurse that

Waking up from deep sedatives in ICU.
Waking up from sedation...what should I expect? My Dad went in for bypass surgery which went fine and on the day he was to come home he had a reaction to Heparin which was HIT type II rare response. They found clots in his heart and he had a heart attack shortly after in the ICU. He went in for emergency

Clothing choices
My Mom began dialysis about 7 months ago, shortly after beginning we noticed a need for changes in clothing for her. Since than we’ve designed a wonderful sweatshirt that serves the purpose and keeps her warm. My question to you all is how do we market it. Do you have special site that you’ve used when
