Slow T3 & blood test results
Hi everyone, about 2 months ago I started taking slow T3 (10 milligrams) with the advise of my Endocrinology Dr, along with my Levo 150 mil. Yesterday I got my blood test results back (see below) and I would be happy if someone could tell me if it's actually working, cause some of the results are still

ICSI - advice needed please
This is my first time posting on here and I would really appreciate advice from those with experience of icsi. My OH is older than me and had a vasectomy over 12 years ago. Given his age, and the reduced likelihood of a successful reversal we plan to go down the icsi route. I’m 29 with no know fertility

Latest Update - Post Surgery during Pandemic
Hi All, Just thought I'd post an update. I ended up opting for the double mastectomy, and had the surgery on St. Patrick's Day (March 17th). Considering the hospital was already in COVID-19 lockdown mode, I'm glad I went ahead with the surgery since now most surgeries are postponed. Also the plastic

PLEASE HELP - Should I increase NDT?
I would really appreciate your help, as I am not feeling at all well. I switched from Levothyroxine to NDT almost 3 weeks ago. I started with 1/4 grain, increased to 1/2 grain and have now been taking 1 grain Armour for the past 6 days. On the 2nd and 3rd day of taking 1 grain I felt better but then

Egg Freezing / Fertilty Advice?
Hi everyone. I've recently been diagnosed with endo via ultrasound/MRI. Considered to be stage 4, including large bilateral endometriomas. My treatment was delayed by Covid-19 so I am awaiting cystectomy etc. My AMH levels when tested were I believe just within 'acceptable' range, but I am aware surgery

Ferritin, Folate, Vitamin B12 numbers - confused and not sure whether to take a B complex or iron
Apologies if this is a bit long but I am very confused by this whole subject. I am self treating with T3 for Impaired sensitivity to Thyroid Hormone [ISTH]. I began to self treat in late January of this year - it was the right way to go because if I hadn't I don't think I'd still be here now writing

Progesterone only pill
Hi, newbie here 👋 I was wondering if the pop has any benefits for helping pcos? My partner has had a vasectomy and we do not want children so I was wondering whether to come off it or if by doing that my pcos symptoms may worsen? Tia x

Seeking wisdom from those of you that have "been there done that"
Greetings! I hope you are all well (as can be expected) and safe! As I am nearing the end of my chemo treatments - 3 more to go! And will be needing surgery in the near(ish) future, how does one decide which surgery is best? I was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer back in October. I had

Chances of endometriosis returning?
I just had a total hysterectomy with removal of my tubes in March (along with bladder and rectum prolapse repairs). During the operation, the GYN found endometriosis and removed it. What is the recurrence rate of endometriosis returning when the ovaries were left in since they looked good? Any other

Surgery and RA
Hello all, I’m relatively new here and really excited to find a lively and helpful community who know what it’s like to live with RA. I’ve had RA since 2004 and my symptoms are mostly under control with a combination of Benepali and Methotrexate. That was until Jan when I had to come off for a mastectomy

Concerns re hard painful vulva lump
Hi all, newbie here with some concerns...about 10 weeks ago I noticed a hard lump on my vulva. I left it for a few weeks hoping it would go away but when it didn't I went to the doctor and was told it was possibly a bartholin cyst that had become infected and was given course of antibiotics. 3 weeks

Hysterectomy and menopause
Hi all I had a total hysterectomy last july and went straight into surgical menopause. There's a few issues I would like advise on. One is I've been left with a lot of loose skin around my belly which has made me very self conscious. I wondered if anyone else has this. Also I've gained alot of weight

Unilateral Mastectomy Regret
I had a unilateral mastectomy and I regret it everyday. My doctors encouraged me to not remove both because it wasn’t necessary and just because Angela Jolie did it, everyone had started doing it and it didn’t improve “quality of life”. I listened to them. I had no idea how disproportionate I would look
