HRT & Decapeptyl
So last year I went on Decapeptyl injections on their own to try and manage pain. I came off them after 4 injections due to my mood being worse. I went back to the consultant in May who suggested I try them again alongside HRT until I had my MRI scan and have a follow up with him 3 months later (so

Ovaries- stay or go?
Hi everyone. After over 30 years of pain and extreme bloating over the last two years, I’ve sadly no other option than to have a hysterectomy, I’ve been told. I’ve only ever had two laparoscopies in 2012. They’re reluctant to remove my ovaries, stating all the health related issues it can cause,

Ankle after hip replacement due to RA
Hi there 😊 I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this. I had hip replacement late January and since then the ankle on the operation side has been increasingly achy and a bit swollen. Also the foot turns in which it didn’t do before. My RA flared after the operation and Humira was added to my

menopause and Anxiety
Hi, I have severe anxiety and am in a perimenapaussl state. As of yesterday my head became so hot I thought it was going to explode. I also have diabetes and high blood pressure. I’m on mirtazipine 15mg but it doesn’t seem to be working as I find it so hard to get through my day. Maybe I need to start

Gp ringing me in the next 2 hours, assistance please!
Hello, Because I've gone downhill in the last few days I called again to speak to someone, this is after my sending in a letter last week with bloods and being ignored (fobbed off, dismissed). Now I'm hot and cold sweats, low level tingling, dry tongue (electrolyte ususally help but not now) unsteady

Utrogestan and endometriosis
Hi I take Utrogestan 100mgs per day and added the Oestrogel but the endo (I have 2 endometriomas in the one ovary they left behind after total hysterectomy in 2019) was flaring up and my IBS was getting out of hand (wind) so do I increase it to 200mgs?? Does anyone know??

Almost there... Couch2 5k!
Back in January I signed up for a 5k run which is this Sunday! I had 2 hip replacements in 2019 and hadn't run a step since then. The first runs were horrid, my legs felt like cement weights. Now I'm doing 30 min runs, only to find out on the track today that I only did 2 miles in 30 min! Not sure where

TSH how long for suppressed TSH to return to normal after stopping T3?
I saw a ‘hormone specialist’ GP today. Again she tried to tell me I need to reduce my levothyroxine because of my suppressed TSH. Only saw her because she’s meant to be good with HRT, but she’s gone mad about my TSH. My FT4 is only 48-% through range, so if anything, I’d like to increase my levo!

HRT and cirrhosis
I have heard conflicting opinions as to the safety of HRT and cirrhosis. I have cirrhosis. UKELD score 48. KPA score 37.5. My GP has changed my (low dose) HRT to a gel and tablet: Gel = Oestrogel 80g . Tablet = Medroxyprogesterone 5mg. The enclosed leaflets, however, say ‘do not take’ if you have

Discrepancy in test results on same dose
I’ve recently had two blood tests - one at the GP surgery, and one at home fingerprick test with Monitor My Health. They’ve come back with quite different results (for FT4, at least) despite being on the same dose, tests done at the same time of day under the same conditions (24 hrs after levo, T3 dose

Overweight with a high BMI
I have stage 4 endometriosis and adenomyosis with bowel and bladder adhesions and cyst's on both ovaries. My consultant is really good, however he has specified that I need to get my BMI down to 35 or below before I'd be considered for a full hysterectomy (I've already waited over three years for one)

Menopause alternative to HRT
I am looking for advice regarding Black Cohosh. Has anyone successfully taken this for Menopause? I am worried if I try it it may effect Levo.
