So last year I went on Decapeptyl injections on their own to try and manage pain. I came off them after 4 injections due to my mood being worse.
I went back to the consultant in May who suggested I try them again alongside HRT until I had my MRI scan and have a follow up with him 3 months later (so due start of August)
Since going on the injections again alongside HRT I feel worse then ever. I am getting more headaches, my whole body hurts, lower back pain that is worse, period cramps and my moods haven't improved at all.
Just wondered if anyone else has had an issue similar.

Hi I’m sorry to hear you are struggling with Decapeptyl but I wanted to let you know you are not alone and it’s not working for me either.
I started mine in January whilst I am on the hysterectomy waiting list which could be 2 years. It’s definitely not agreeing with me even with hrt I am bleeding every 9-12 days now and the pain you are describing is exactly what I am going through. My consultant has given me no alternative solution and encouraged me to stick with it for at least 6 months which I have and am now due my next 3 months dose in September but I’m debating whether to keep having them or not.
Ah hello there! I really feel for you, what a terrible way to be. I too was the very same as you only that I went on both at the start Decapeptyl injections & HRT (I forget which one, pills). I was worse on them! Also like you was told I needed to give them more time. However I just couldn't & wouldn't so I stopped the HRT pills myself & waited for the injection to wear out- about 3-4 months & never went for another. I had & still have a very sympathetic GP who tried his best to find effective pain relief... but it was never really good enough tbh. Pain relief seems very hard to get right. In the meantime, referral gone to & I'm waiting for an appointment with a pain management consultant. It's a waiting game...
I'm feeling terrible. I spoke to a GP on Friday but they were no help at all. I decided to just stop the HRT myself and see how I feel. I have an appointment with the consultant on 25th August. Don't think I could wait that long to discuss it and keep suffering. Just wish they would make up their minds as to if I can have a hysterectomy or not.
