Thyroid and the Menstrual Cycle?
When I was first diagnosed with Graves diseases my periods had practically stopped. I had no period for almost a year thinking the menopause was to blame. I started Carbimazole and reacted badly to it and had Rai. Soon after I started Levo. My periods have often been on the heavy side, but after having

Osteoarthritis / Bone Edema / Injections / Hip Replacement
HI, I'm 45, I have been managing Osteoarthritis / Hip Bone Edema for 2.5 years. Pain has increased steadily over the past few months and I now can't walk more than 1mile / 6,000 steps a day without having to rest for 3/4 days after, another complication is if I do push it and do too much over a few

Iron Blood Test Results
Hi i’m wondering if anyone could advise on my iron blood test. I had a recent thyroid test which showed Ferritin at 69.1 ug/L (range 30-150). This was through Thriva. I have since tested with Medicheck and my ferritin seems to have reduced. Am just wondering if there was a way I could increase ferritin

UPDATE ON HIP REPLACEMENT SURGERY
Hello everyone, I had my hip replacement surgery a week ago today. It went well. I went into the theatre at 9 am and in the recovery room at 11 am. I spent 5 hours in recovery because they had to discharge patients and sanitise the beds and wards so newly operated on patients could have a bed! That

Shortness of breadth
I had open heart surgery 8 years ago, I used to have AFIB but a valve replacement resolved it so far. I also have sleep apnea and use a cpap. Recently I have been getting up in the middle of the night once or twice to urinate and I am experiencing shortness of breadth. After I urinate it goes away.

Zoladex delay
Hi All, has anyone postponed one of their monthly Zoladex injections by a week? Any issues in that week? My situation is that I have a consultant appointment to review how I’ve got on with Zoladex (and, on the basis of my response, aid the decision making process on how much to do in surgery) booked

And also my knee Doctor wants my port removed because of infection and my oncologist said I can leave or take it out. Has anyone gone through this.

wondering how long off work for a total hip replacement?
I can work from home for a while but means sitting at a desk (which I suppose may be ok with the right support). Am I being naive to think I can be back at work on 3 weeks? I work 3 days a week. What is your experience?
